It's war and politics. Someone always wins, justice, never.
Stop bringing up past events for this, it means fuck-all.
In the wise words of George Santayana, "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."
The Israeli police didn't kill anyone in the riots in Jerusalem, even though they were fully capable of doing so. The ones at the border were border patrol soldiers.
Which is exactly the point, the border patrol could have done a lot more, not just opened fucking fire on them. [editline]18th May 2011[/editline] This isn't a philosophical thing, this is basic god damn logic.
Worthy of note that the protest was for Al Nakba Day, not purely the anniversary of the foundation of Israel.
Stop bringing up past events for this, it means fuck-all.
aren't the protests over past events? oops you're a good troll
This isn't a philosophical thing, this is basic god damn logic.
Exactly. Logic? Giant, hostile, invading crowd=Keep away at all costs This sounds to me like the Boston Massacre. Basically a giant crowd attacking armed soldiers, and then vilifying them when they defend themselves. Oh, boo-hoo, they were better armed, it's not fair... as any inter-city child can tell you, you don't assault the men with the guns.
Oh, A man threw a stone. I should totally kill him, It's not like they don't have more peaceful means to which break up a protest.
Stones turn to molotovs cocktails and IEDs, we live in civilized countries, their countries are full of idiots and extremists, assumptions are an important thing to make when you're in constant danger.
"But this is our land, we will fight with all our force say the Palestinians and the Jews" Neither side is without their extremists and idiots. The fact of the matter is that the Jews are in charge over there and they aren't anymore willing to play nice than the Muslims are.
