the only thing that stops a bad guy with a nuke is a good guy with a nuke
Good, bad. I'm the guy with the nuke
What is this, Metal Gear Solid? War deterrance does not work like that.
You sure? I got this sweet animation with nukes and butteflies I made in basic I could show you
Maybe she's tired of seeing Russia from her house.
Please no, I don't want the Fallout series to become reality.
Why are there politicians out there who still believe in people, countries and cultures being either "good" or "evil"?
It's like the epitome of black and white thinking. It's like she thinks the world is as simple as a video game.
If it is then I should be hired by the military to be in charge of strategic command. I have won many a battle with the Russians and can be trusted with our massive stockpile of nuclear weapons. First things first I would devote all resources into the research of advanced physics, then vaporize them off the planet.
I'd like my medal to be something brilliantly shiny thank you.
thanks god i live in moscow, so with some luck i can hide in our subway and play metro 2033 in case of her being elected as president.
watch out for the Dark Ones
She used nuke as a noun, as in possessing nukes. Not nuke as a verb, as in nuke Russia.
um okay why does this matter
why she even brought up nukes is very disturbing since it is completely unrelated
oh that sarah, always bringing a smile and rural american charm to thermonuclear global genocide and the utter annihilation of life as we know it in a storm of destruction even greater than the fires of creation
show those washington fatcats how it's done!
Nukes are horrible, but not the annihaliation of life as we know it. Just throwing this out here because you guys tend to think that nukes are basically wiccan death magic that summons Mechahitlerstalinsatan 9000 to urethrally rape everyone with his infinitely forking barbed tentacle robot dick.
Sarah Palin is an idiot. To say it very mildly. Nukes are bad stuff, not radioactive toys that the big cool kids can play with.

It would most likely be a much darker future than your gun toting, bottle cap trading cowboy hat wearing bad boys. If you want to see a realistic portrayal of nuclear war(ignoring the unrealistic firestorms and overly exaggerated nuclear winter) watch Threads, for something a bit more family friendly: The day after. People should also read nuclear war survival skills, which dispels a lot of myths about nuclear war and the effects of an atomic bomb.
God damn, Palin is more of a threat than Putin ever will be.
we can stop putin with hugs and kisses

No man, the most realistic post-nuclear future is Fist of the North Star
I haven't heard anything about her for a while now, I assumed she forgot how to breathe.
Anyone who claims that war would not happen with female leaders can now shut the fuck up.
Because Sarah Palin = all female leaders.
Last time I checked, Australia didn't declare war on anyone when Julia Gillard was the head of government here. And oh yeah, was it not a bunch of old guys who caused the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq to happen?
Anyone who claims that war would not happen with female leaders can now shut the fuck up.
What I tend to hear more often is that if we had a female president, we would be getting in a new war for a week out of every month.
Because Sarah Palin = all female leaders.

Afaik Austrailia isnt a war warmongering country.
If McCain was smart he would've picked a normal VP, and I wouldn't be surprised if he came close or won out right
He picked Palin because he was losing favour among the (steadily growing) Tea Party and needed to secure their vote. Unfortunately, in doing this he lost favour with everyone else.
I don't think she's saying anything ridiculous. She might not be very eloquent with what she's saying. But non-nuclear countries don't have leverage over nuclear nations. The US is one of the few nations that has any sort of leverage at all
Afaik Austrailia isnt a war warmongering country.
Okay then, I withdraw that comment and present this one instead: So Sarah Palin = all female leaders in the United States?
He picked Palin because he was losing favour among the (steadily growing) Tea Party and needed to secure their vote. Unfortunately, in doing this he lost favour with everyone else.
Even though I was a middle school kid rooting for Obama, I really felt bad for McCain after the Sarah Palin thing happened and I wish he had a proper second chance.
Did Sarah Palin never read about the Cold War or MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) when she was in school?
A bad guy with nukes and a good guy with nukes? Two wrongs don't make a right. It just makes a smoking radioactive crater in Moscow and in Washington.
This is not 70s and our country isn't called USSR anymore, you dumb cunt.
Really, I'll be surprised if anyone takes what those american clowns say seriously.
Well in this American clown's opinion, You might not be called the USSR anymore, but you still have a KGB, oh excuse me I mean a FSB, media censorship, and a leader who is a former KGB member and has been in power for 14 years.
Okay then, I withdraw that comment and present this one instead: So Sarah Palin = all female leaders in the United States?
She doesn't represent all female leaders in the United States (frankly I feel bad for anyone she represents). The point is that people go around claiming that, no matter what, a female president would mean no war. They paint females as these do-no-evil angels who would fix everything a month into their presidency (that's not an exaggeration for a few people I know). The problem is that females are human, just like males, and could just as easily be a shit president who starts wars and fucks over the country as any male.
I'm not saying we shouldn't have a female president; I'm saying the difference is minimal.

So both you and I agree that a female is just as capable at being a head of government as a male can. Good. But my original comment was in reply to MittRomney (FP user, not the politician), who posted:
Anyone who claims that war would not happen with female leaders can now shut the fuck up.
Just because Sarah Palin is advocating for the US to stretch it's muscles a bit*, doesn't mean that all female politicians in the United States think the same way.
* (if people read into her original comment relevant to the OP, they'd realise her comment is leaning towards deterrence through MAD rather than outright nuclear warfare)
Sarah Palin.. I wonder how she passed her high-school education. Did daddy bribe the school system?
Hey guys I know how we can cure cancer
Kill everyone with cancer
Palin is kind of nuts, but she does make a point. The Only thing preventing Putin from 'protecting' the Ethnic Russians in Estonia/Latvia etc is the Nuclear Umbrella that NATO affords them.
