I played that game. I lost because I always bought a bunch of Concordes.
Hey, awesome! I live in San Jose
they should just buy area 51
Why are they using $82 million for an airport in San Jose when Mineta Airport just had a brand new wing built specifically for incoming and outgoing international flights? However I am not sure if the wing is fully built yet, maybe that is what Google is coming up on, if that's the case, awesome. Beats having to drive from San Jose to SFO just to get an international flight.

And all restaurants will be Taco Bell.
Not a fan of the interior design. It's like the late 50s/early 60s all over again. It's too minimalistic, barren and cold.
Why would they build an airport; that makes no sense.
...Unless it's a convenient cover *ahem*

Google is turning into black mesa.
The end is near, repent brother!
Garry, if you want to compete, you obviously have to build a Facepunch Airport.
If you're talking about the homepage of Google, then it's just part of the charm. The creators weren't very skilled with HTML or something along the lines of that, so that was the best they could work with. Nowadays, yeah, they could hire some five-star web designers to completely redo Google's homepage, but personally I find the simple design adds a lot of charm to the page.
I like the simplicity of it, if I go to Google I want to search. I don't want other shit thrown in my face. Honestly though, how many people actually go to their homepage? I either search straight from my browser or go directly to their other products.
So, is Google going to be that corporation in WALL-E that buys and runs everything?
Google is one of the biggest corporations to become an integral part of society and spread of ideas, rather than just materials and production. So branching out to materials, production, and service, is a very likely possibility. If a bit of a scary one.
honestly imo google could use that 82 million for something better
According to Wikipedia and Wolfram Alpha they make 80 million in profit every 3 days. I don't think this will hurt them too bad.
They're waiting for you Sergey, in the airporrrrrrrrrrrrt.

Plus NOBODY SANE wants this on their search engine.

Did the concept artist draw over a google maps image?
I think they're funding to build the airport, as it isn't branded by Google or anything at all. The design looks nice but it wouldn't be like that for a while, Heathrow's terminals became dank in my opinion after a matter of weeks due to the passengers lack of common sense about trash and whatnot.
Baffles me that Google started with two nerds and a cellar.

9 billion a year ?
Hard to believe.

Not really dude, Googles a pretty big company and Fortune 500 companies make much more obscene profits.

Google Airport is always going to be the top damn result when you search for airports now
THEY CONTROL THE AIRWAYS WE HAVE TO FIGHT BA-
Welcome to the new Google airport powered by Google Chrome.
Here you see our Google entrance leading into our Chrome powered Google Terminal.
If you look out of our patented Google Windows you can see the newest Chrome Powered Google Plane about to take off on our Google Runway, powered by Chrome.
honestly imo google could use that 82 million for something better
What exactly do you have in mind? An Airport is a fairly good investment.
Also, the concept art looks pretty humble.
Like finding somebody who can actually design a fucking website
youtube btw
Or actually any google product. Most of them are really really confusing in my opinion.
I played that game. I lost because I always bought a bunch of Concordes.
Except if you ran Concorde's correctly and updated them with newer technology they would still be successful.
And all restaurants will be Taco Bell.
One nation under Google. Your kids would be eating Google cereals before going to Google schools and your dead parents would be buried in Google coffins.

No, you're wrong. We must accept and welcome our future Google overlords with open arms.
Btw. 82 Millions is a really small amount of money for an airport.
Btw. 82 Millions is a really small amount of money for an airport.
I was going to say. 82 million didn't seem like a whole lot. Then again, I wasn't expecting an international terminal.

Yeah, I figure that this is a part of something really clever. I'm really interested in knowing what though.
