I don't see why him stating they use prisoners as for random and leverage is that unreasonable. They are trying to win a war, there is no sense in skinning people alive or torturing them. If anything you want to keep your prisoners in good conditions to win hearts and minds and legitimise your cause.

I dislike Hamas but I do believe they wouldn't take measures to torture their hard earned bargaining chips.

While killing (and kidnapping for that matter) people is always horrendous, at the very least they're targeting enemy combatants and not civilians (in the three examples mentioned), unlike the IDF who indiscriminately murders scores of innocents, with little to no regard.

Hamas gives no fucks about civilian casualties, given the opportunity they'd wipe out the Israelis entirely, the only reason they're not piling up the bodies is because of the technology gap between the two, Israel has excellent air defense systems, Hamas has cheap rockets.
Not to mention Hamas has been actively trying to maximize Palestinian civilian casualties to gain sympathy, those are their own people, who they claim to be fighting for, that they're rounding up to die for propaganda fuel.
