Professor claims Sandy Hook massacre 'may not have happened'
Why is facepunch so liberal about everything but gun control?
Because gun control is a conservative policy.
If there were
photos: "How convenient that a photographer just happened to be on hand!"
God these theories are annoying
what the hell this thread is on par with the sandy hook dribble I've been reading on r/conspiracy

More fuel to the conspiracy fire! What do you guys think about this? If the pics were better quality, I'd be convinced but now it's not too easy to tell if they are the same person or if they just look alike.
Totally not idiotic

Sounds reasonable. It even looks like a shotgun.
When looking at the video, that's what I initially thought until the reporter stated it was an assault rifle. That's what caused the confusion.

Doesn't look much like what I'd expect from a grieving relative. You tell me what it means, though.
I did the exact same 2 weeks after my grandmother had died at her funeral. I had gotten up to the podium and I began laughing and immediately started crying. You try to mask it at first and it just doesn't work. If you've experienced the same type of death or depression, you'd probably understand.
Because facepunch knows that banning guns will do jack shit to stop this stuff from occuring.
I don't think you know the opinion of everyone Facepuncher quite honestly. Saying Facepunch as a whole isn't accurate at all.

Who ever made this has Schizophrenia.
let's also assume everything our history teachers told us were lies because we didn't witness every single event of the past thousand years first-hand
Is it not possible that people are simply taking advantage of tragedies instead of somehow staging them to further their agendas?
let's also assume everything our history teachers told us were lies because we didn't witness every single event of the past thousand years first-hand
Well you know what they say, the victor writes the history books.
what if it wasn't staged.
what if it was covered because... you know... the backlash and everything.
Seriously, this inconcistency is probably because of the distortion of facts and proof. We are not getting the full picture, but we are asuming that there is a cover up, we aren't considering the fact that we are lacking info because nobody has found it yet.
That professor shoulnd't have said "it didn't happend", he should have said "we aare lacking the whole picture"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_school_shootings_in_the_United_States#2010s
Again, why would they need to fake a school shooting?
Faking a school shooting in order to ban guns is like faking a car accident in order to ban cars.
[editline]11th January 2013[/editline]
Also, What is more likely, that the government faked a massacre involving dozens of family members/witnesses/police/doctors/funeral homes/ reporters/ etc. Or the guy just doesn't give a shit about his kid?
Somebody tell Glaber to clear out his desk, we've just got a replacement, and he's much better.
I'm pretty sure inconsistencies more likely means bad reporting not government conspiracy.

it's called "alternative news" for a reason. I'm not putting it out there as fact, it's just something to consider.
it's called "alternative news" for a reason. I'm not putting it out there as fact, it's just something to consider.
"We report, you decide!"
Citing media inconsistencies as evidence that an event did not occur may be the single most idiotic thing ever. Of course the media reports are going to be inconsistent. This is an ongoing event and not all of the truth is known. Many reports include speculation, rumor and biased "information." That doesn't mean it didn't happen.
These same inconsistencies arise when any major event happens, like 9/11 or the 2004 tsunami. Death tolls were wildly different depending on which channel you watched. The magnitude of the earthquake was reported differently by different sources. The cause of the attacks and their very nature could not be agreed upon by anybody.
Does that mean none of it fucking happened?
No.
I know I'm late to the debate, but that's my two cents.
If the government faked this massacre, I'm jumping off my roof and flying to Narnia, because clearly the most basic laws of logic no longer apply if the government either as some Guild of Evil Actors, or convinced hundreds of people, including children, to pretend there was a massacre and never ever tell a soul, and yet somehow is still too incompetent to avoid using the same actor for different roles and sending a kid who was supposed to be dead, never to be seen again, to do a photo shoot with the fucking president. Not to mention the trouble they could have saved, you know, just actually killing them?

alternative like alternative medicine
Why would the government fake a school shooting. There are just greedy people who use tragedies to push their own agenda, they're not gonna do shit like this.
it's called "alternative news" for a reason. I'm not putting it out there as fact, it's just something to consider.
yeah man, it's just another version of the truth, right?
Why would the government fake a school shooting. There are just greedy people who use tragedies to push their own agenda, they're not gonna do shit like this.
Because there is likely going to be a massive spout of hysteria and civil unrest in the coming future for at least the United States. What better way to ensure your continuation of power than to remove weapons from the civilian hands. And what better way to do that than to fool the public into believing weapons are the root of all evil. Instead of trying to forcefully take the weapons from them, so they cannot shoot you, you simply scare them into giving them to you themselves.
So far, whether or not Sandy Hook and the theater shooting have inconsistencies or not, it is working.

For a guy who has lost his kids, he sure has a big smile on his face at the beginning of those videos. I can understand a weak smile during a hard time but he is full open laughing and legitimately smiling as if he hadn't a care in the world. That's just odd to me. When I lost my cousin (granted, not my son or daughter) we were joking lightly at the funeral, but we were never THAT "smiles and laughs". If you catch me.
And he prepares himself each time. Going from smiles to complete seriousness. He takes several deep breathes to change his demeanor and immediately becomes upset. Wow he gets worked up fast.
Umm, where's the source link?
Umm, where's the source link?
Someone posted that before and I don't think anyone ever provided the link.

Jokes. I don't know what to think over this. But what would they gain for faking a school shooting? V:v:V
yeah man, it's just another version of the truth, right?
it usually takes an idiotic conclusion and uses correct but generally irrelevant data to support it, like people saw lights in the sky = alien invasion or obama gave a guy a hug = illuminati
I was quick to judge him as a conspiracy theorist nutjob, but then he actually brought up evidence.
Regardless, I don't think the government would stage up a school shooting and get away with it. It seems beyond ridiculous.
uh no he brought up claims, none of which he gave real evidence for
it usually takes an idiotic conclusion and uses correct but generally irrelevant data to support it, like people saw lights in the sky = alien invasion or obama gave a guy a hug = illuminati
then why exactly is it something to consider? if the data is irrelevant and is mostly used to justify absurd conspiracy theories, I find the validity of the data should be called into question
That's the beauty of it. He doesn't blame anyone. He points out inconsistencies and leaves it open-ended for people to decide on their own what the truth is.
"I'm just asking questions" is just how nutjobs weasel out of being held responsible for their claims. It's pretty much Glenn Beck's forte.
can you just imagine a bunch of CIA black ops guys storming the elementary school mowing down kids and teachers and shit? what do you even do in that situation
idk die I guess
The facts should each tell us their own little story, leading us to a conclusion. It should not work the other way around.
That's backwards investigation and it leads to things like people getting convicted for crimes they didn't commit.
then why exactly is it something to consider? if the data is irrelevant and is mostly used to justify absurd conspiracy theories, I find the validity of the data should be called into question
the data is irrelevant to the conclusion, not irrelevant to the topic at hand. it's the conclusion that's stupid.
