Haha what. I dont trust a site I've never used and whose entire article was a hit piece to have a factual translation of a language I dont speak.
Bullshit. The dude is a self admitted combatant of the US and plead guilty to his crimes. Political prisoner my ass. He and his group are not freedom fighters. Theyre terrorists like any other.
That is a terrorist plain and simple. You wanna argue that Al-Queda, the IRA, and ISIS are freedom fighters too?
Yo there is a crisis in Puerto Rico right now, no one gives a shit about some completely unrelated random terrorist dude from the 70s
Nesto, why did you intentionally cut short a quote from the mayor? You quoted her complementing the federal relief effort, but deliberately removed the second half of her statement, where she said that more help was needed than was being provided.
Do you have anything to say for yourself having been caught red handed using such transparently dishonest tactics?
Frankly, I don't know how you can expect people to view attribute your arguments with ANY credibility when you pull shit like this.
Honestly, it both frightens and disgusts me how people like nesto will come to defend the president's actions of politicizing the death and suffering of countless Americans in their time of need after a natural disaster.
That's unfortunately what happens when people barely have two brain cells to rub together and a complete dearth of human empathy.
"why does she support a terrorist", said shortly after trump pardons a power-tripping ex-sheriff that operated self proclaimed concentration camps and encouraged officers under him to specifically target a race whether or not they were here legally
You guys should quit replying to him on that subject. It's pretty obvious he's just trying to deflect from his complete inability to defend his shitty points on what's actually relevant such as his blaming San Juan's mayor over Trump's bullshit.

It's not like any of his posts has been remotely honest thus far anyways. His asinine criticisms of people not showing up for work was immediately explained with inarguable reasoning. And if he was more interested in solving the problem rather than lying blame on Peurto Rico then he'd see that providing more aid, notably in the form of workers and fuel, would help get things rolling since the major issue is that workers can't get around to do the necessary work until supply lines start getting setup.
She is pretty insane. Bitches and moans about help in a warehouse stocked with aid. While her citizens are starving, without water, and power she somehow finds a nice newly printed tshirt saying help us were dying for her big American primetime interview. She's also a terrorist sypmathizer to boot. So yea, shes pretty fucking nuts and even the Dem governor doesnt agree with her. It looks like and sounds like a politcal attack in the middle of a utterly devastating disaster.
"Fuck, I can't counter those points, uh... um... Quick! Make the victims look like the bad-guys!"
And? I already said hes an idiot for doing it. And so is she.
"Nailed it."
But seriously, "it looks and sounds like a political attack in the middle of an utterly devastating disaster" when the Federal government is slacking in assisting relief efforts (it takes more than just giving supplies, because even as YOU yourself said, there are roads that need cleared, fuel that needs transported, etc.)?
"We need more help, people are dying!"
"WHOA YOU CRAZY BITCH why do you gotta make this all political and shit?!"
Do you see how stupid this sounds?
Hey look at that, some more updates. Apparently she's got time to go on primetime TV and complain but won't even take the time to attend FEMA meetings or coordinate efforts with them.

Which quote?
Ha, Mulvaney and Long criticizing them? They're both Trump appointed lackeys and if they said anything to disagree with their master then they'd be out of a job in no time flat. You'd best be joking if you think their words should be held with anymore than a grain of salt.
Mulvaney was simply echoing Trump's tweets and complained simply that she didn't personally visit both FEMA centers in the city (how does that that help exactly? Is she to lift boxes? Isn't she supposed to be negotiating for more workers to help her citizens - what she's doing). As for Long, in that video all he ever says is 'the governor is great, the governor is great, we need unity, and we need her to be at the office we set up in San Juan,' when she has been there and the reason she's been complaining in the first place is because they told her numbers she didn't like - well deserved since we're giving significantly less federal help than to both Haiti and Japan and even other similar crisis's in American history.
You're literally just posting from the echo chamber nesto. Just stop. You're disgraceful.

Here, have a PR Mayor that says the same thing as those "lackeys"
In an interview with Secrets, Guaynabo Mayor Angel Perez Otero said that in several meetings with FEMA and U.S. military officials about the recovery effort, Yulin Cruz has been absent. "I've seen other mayors participating. She's not," said Perez Otero.
Despite days of praise for the government's effort from Puerto Rico's governor, Yulin Cruz has become the new face of the island in the media with her sharp criticism of the administration's efforts.
Asked if he has seen similar shortfalls and non-communication from the administration, Perez Otero said "that's not been my experience." He added, "There is a lot of politics in Puerto Rico."
Perez Otero added that the San Juan mayor "is my friend." His municipality sits just west of San Juan. Together, they make up most of the San Juan metropolitan area.
Perez Otero said that he has been in constant contact with military, FEMA and White House officials and has been promised that "they won't leave until Puerto Rico is good." He added that a top Trump aide quoted the president saying that the aid so far "is not enough. There is going to be more."
I can't decide if the mayor was in the wrong or not... But it's still insane to me that the president decides to publicly condemn a mayor from the same country on an international platform following said mayor's city being ravaged by a hurricane. Shouldn't the president maybe think "okay, she's probably distressed and not thinking straight, I should be the unifying force here"? Instead, frail baby Donald as always decides to take it personally and cause division and conflict while blaming 'the democrats' with a vague conspiracy theory.
Even if it was necessary to call her out, there's hardly any worse ways to word it than how he did. I mean, Mulvaney said practically the same thing only a thousand times better than Trump. "It is unfortunate that the San Juan mayor wants to sort of go against the grain. We’d love to have her on the team as we all pull in the same direction." One would think that he could put a little more effort into writing his tweet compared to someone speaking it on the fly. Funny enough Mulvaney's statement almost fits in one tweet too, while Trump's rant had to fit into 3.
Trump's Twitter discipline is embarrassing as always but last I've heard there was mountains of aid and federal resources in PR but the lack of distribution and labor , and messed up infrastructure is making it difficult to get out. The ports are building up full of aid. I don't think it's as bad as people make it out to be, with there being no federal response or whatever. It's just a unique situation to deal with. It's going to take longer than Florida, Texas, or New Orleans, just by the simple fact you can't drive there. The voluntary manpower we had in Texas and Florida is non-existent in PR.

But yeah, Trump only makes things worse with the shit he says on Twitter

I think that Trump was legitimately angry at the mayor for bitching about getting no aid while the federal aid was coming in, and then she goes running off to CNN wearing a ''HELP US WE ARE STARVING'' shirt (Why does someone have a shirt for those occasions anyway, especially a mayor?) for those sweet ''IS PUERTO RICO THE NEW KATRINA'' headlines media outlets like CNN have been fishing for in the past months. And then it turns out that said mayor, in opposite to pretty much any other high-up politician in Puerto Rico, hasn't even contacted FEMA yet at the time she goes and blares her heart out to CNN. So basically, she complains about the help she has been getting because she dropped the goddamn ball on getting it distributed via her own means and obliviously, her incompetency is one hundred percent Trump's fault and this is going to be a second Katrina, according to the stellar newscasters over at CNN, if we have to believe them. While she goddamn knows that aid is just a few calls to FEMA away. Even moreso, she is apparently the only mayor on Puerto Rico who has failed to contact FEMA at any point as of yet. (Which is coming from FEMA themselves.) She can complain to CNN all she wants, the point of the matter is, she is trying to pull a political play by blaming Trump for her own inactivity in this scenario. Is it any wonder that Trump decided to give the incompetent ingrate a proper ear-washing for pulling that crap?
Yeah, that's absolutely awful of her if that's how it is. But Trump still decided to make it bigger and use it to cause further division, when a president's job should be to unify. A president should not be surprised when someone blames him unfairly, and he needs to keep his emotions in check in times of need.

Saying it's "of interest" implies it has some relevance to the discussion at hand and adds something to the conversation, and people provided a counter-argument that the sources are unreliable.
The title of the thread relates to the subject matter.
That doesn't mean that what you posted adds anything to the conversation. I could post a video of someone ranting about Trump and Puerto Rico and even though it's related to the subject matter that doesn't mean it actually would add anything to the discussion.
It's the moderators' job to decide whether it adds to the conversation. Or maybe the conversation didn't go the way that the thread was pointing. I assume that's permissible, however. Or at least one would hope that it is allowed...

This is like if you went into the Neo Nazi rally in Sweden thread and posted some Breitbart article on how the Government of Nigeria funded the rally or some stupid shit like that.
Why would the PR officer call a New York based radio station, every single radio and news station, especially Puerto Rican ones, would fucking order her a military armored transport if she could prove her credentials.
Why can this not be found in any alternative recording of the broadcast? If this was actually broadcasted in NY of all places, people would be recording it on their phones just like that guy is.
Why doesn't she name any details other than what is google-able? Why is she calling from Guaynabo? I get that she as a cop is mobile but it calls into question whether she has first hand knowledge of this or is just repeating what other people heard, which makes this a reported hearsay of a rumor. There's a reason why (quality) news agencies require at the very least two independent first hand reports of an event before reporting it, when this is one THIRD hand report of questionable veracity and quality.
Why has she not called other stations by now? If her fellow countrymen were being denied food, she should let as many people know in as high a profile way as possible.
