• Scooby Doo is getting a gritty reboot (Among other series)

I don't think anything's gonna live up to the Mystery Inc series tbh. That could have been the shot in the arm the series needed, but it came out at just the wrong time.
How can they make a future Johnny Quest? Venture Bros already got to claim Johnny Quest, no really, they got full rights to it. We already know what he's like now.
Hanna-Barbera is owned by WB and so is Cartoon Network and as such Adult Swim is as well. VB belongs to AS so they can parody that freely. Also alt-universes.
Judging by those 'thought bubbles' coming out of Scooby's glasses, he won't be speaking.
Already been done.
A gritty reboot of Scooby Doo in a gritty reboot of Johnny quest? The world works in mysterious ways.
To be honest, i'm really not opposed to the Scooby Doo one. Some of the designs are questionable but Scooby Doo has been pretty much the same show for decades now, i'm excited for something weird like this.
The same thing for decades? Did you not see mystery incorporated? I fucking swear to god. The one thing that should have been a barometer for the trajectory of the series and it just came and went. Fucking cartoon network.
The Wacky Races one is either going to be the fucking best, or the fucking worst Either way I reckon it'll be entertaining.
Looks kinda neat.
Fans love to rave about Velma, but true fans know that Daphne is where it´s at. :q: [t]https://i.imgur.com/VLlzQQF.jpg[/t]
My boner is confused.

My point still stands though, albiet on shakier ground :v:
In the 60s and 70s lazy goateed hippies afraid of conflict were 'the annoying douchebag hipster' of the time, it's just the artists trying to put a twist on the character design
I disagree. Shaggy before was unshaven and ungroomed because all he did was smoke weed all day. This new lumbersexual shaggy has a well trimmed mustache and tattoos; he is obviously highly concerned with his personal self image, and is therefore uptight about some things, not laid back and chill.
imo the scooby designs look fine, it's like the tropes have been modernized. hippy-to-hipster, nerd-to-gamer, prepgirl-to-clubgirl, and Fred is just modern prep. dont know why scoob is so kawaii though [editline]3rd February 2016[/editline] Also just realized shaggy is like a charicature of Rhett from Good Mythical Morning.
Should've gone with a cyberpunky/Shadowrun-ish adaptation instead for Scooby Doo. [t]http://i.imgur.com/YIQ2CCk.jpg[/t]
daphne's breasts are really distracting
to be fair this is a shaggy that exists and grew up in an entirely different generation than old shaggy.
It's not really Shaggy if he's putting effort into his looks, though. Just feels wrong. imo just giving him a shaggy beard instead of a full on curly mustache and groomed goatee thing would've worked a LOT better
to be fair this is a shaggy that exists and grew up in an entirely different generation than old shaggy.
Lazy stoners still exist, though. Hell, they could have just given him a green drug rug and he'd be more acceptable.

Like fuck, this is a character that in the original sleeps in the back of a van with a dog.
The scooby one looks lame but the others look awesome.
