Limiting the amount of children one can have, and smotehring free speech is nowhere near the same as protecting an almost totally open border from illegal immigrants and violent criminals.
it's the same argument
it's the american standards for life that causes the issue, more goods needed than americans can generate
No. Wrong. We have a ~10% unemployment rate right now. There will be plenty of legal citizens to fill those jobs.
Limiting the amount of children one can have, and smotehring free speech is nowhere near the same as protecting an almost totally open border from illegal immigrants and violent criminals.
same principle brohound
it's the same argument
No, it's not. Murder and grand theft auto are both serious crimes, but you should only be sentenced to death for one. [editline]09:26PM[/editline]
same principle brohound
Same principle? Really? One infringes on it's on citizenry, and the other is a means to protect it's citizens while simultaneously keeping law-breakers out? Do we live in a different world?
Same principle? Really? One infringes on it's on citizenry, and the other is a means to protect it's citizens while simultaneously keeping law-breakers out? Do we live in a different world?
china has no regard for human rights.. why should we?!?
No. Wrong. We have a ~10% unemployment rate right now. None of this matters, really. It doesn't matter if someone else has stricter laws; we hold ourselves to a different standard and make laws that we think are right, not just a little less cruel than elsewhere. Who cares if China or Mexico are worse off than us, we do not hold ourselves to their standard.
Can't we all just agree that we need to allow more legal immigration, and beef up security on the boarder to impede the drug runners and murderers? Hell I wouldn't care if we made it insanely easy to be a citizen. Sign a paper, have a quick background check, maybe a fingerprint or something, then send them on their way. I'd rather have a bunch of criminal legal immigrants than a bunch of criminal illegal immigrants.
Maybe I should use GLENN BECK then. Or FOXNEWS. None of the other media outlets are interested in covering this. It doesn't help their side of the issue.
no, it's not a goddamn story
None of this matters, really.
my god.. I'm talking about his logic in which he's basically saying the president of Mexico's point is void just because Mexico has tougher immigration laws. that's not how it works. he may be a hypocrite but he's still right. china has no regard for human rights.. why should we?!?
But that's all based on what you think is right and wrong. Even if he wasn't hypocritical, he's wrong. So wrong, he's an asshole. What's good for the gander is good for the goose, and if he treats illegals in such a manner, we should treat his illegals in the same exact manner. See how he likes it.
Who wants to go there??
No. Wrong. We have a ~10% unemployment rate right now. There will be plenty of legal citizens to fill those jobs.
except those employers will have to cut down on hiring since they'll be raising salaries when was the last time you saw a white person picking lettuce [editline]12:33AM[/editline]
Who wants to go there??
someone who's committed a murder
Can't we all just agree that we need to allow more legal immigration, and beef up security on the boarder to impede the drug runners and murderers?
i'm arguing that america relies too much on such cheap labour, especially in a currently weak economy. [editline]09:34PM[/editline]
What's good for the gander is good for the goose, and if he treats illegals in such a manner, we should treat his illegals in the same exact manner. See how he likes it.
except that's a stupid idea global politics isn't an eye-for-an-eye game
i'm arguing that america relies too much on such cheap labour, especially in a currently weak economy.
Well no doubt about that. You practically have to be fluent in Spanish if you want to get anything at a Garden Center here. [editline]11:35PM[/editline]
What's good for the gander is good for the goose, and if he treats illegals in such a manner, we should treat his illegals in the same exact manner. See how he likes it.
That's not going to get you anywhere.
i'm arguing that america relies too much on such cheap labour, especially in a currently weak economy. [editline]09:34PM[/editline] except that's a stupid idea global politics isn't an eye-for-an-eye game
If more things were eye-for-an-eye, even globally, a lot less people would think about committing crimes.
But that's all based on what you think is right and wrong. Even if he wasn't hypocritical, he's wrong. So wrong, he's an asshole. See how he likes it.
yeah let's put all the illegals in jail for 2 years just to prove a point that's totally justified, like god punishing me for the sins of some dumb chick that ate an apple
But that's all based on what you think is right and wrong. Even if he wasn't hypocritical, he's wrong. So wrong, he's an asshole. What's good for the gander is good for the goose, and if he treats illegals in such a manner, we should treat his illegals in the same exact manner. See how he likes it.
well, whether he's wrong is debatable. I say he's right.
What's good for the gander is good for the goose, and if he treats illegals in such a manner, we should treat his illegals in the same exact manner. See how he likes it.
so basically we shouldn't have any regard for human rights because china doesn't either?
If more things were eye-for-an-eye, even globally, a lot less people would think about committing crimes.
and if people were more educated on history, a lot less people would say dumb stuff like that
The deal is that he comes here and complains how bad and unethical the Arizona law is when his country has far worse laws nationally.
He criticized it, that's not the same as saying it's unethical or wrong. It is a bit hypocritical but it doesn't change the fact that it will lead to a lot of harassment and deter Tourists and legal immigrants from Arizona. His point isn't invalid and it's just an ad hominem to say it is.
If more things were eye-for-an-eye, even globally, a lot less people would think about committing crimes.
What if they like being raped...
If more things were eye-for-an-eye, even globally, a lot less people would think about committing crimes.
Committing crimes, maybe, but in politics you might end up just pissing people off and making enemies.
Well no doubt about that. You practically have to be fluent in Spanish if you want to get anything at a Garden Center here.
Where do you live? I've never had that problem.
yeah let's put all the illegals in jail for 2 years just to prove a point that's totally justified, like god punishing me for the sins of some dumb chick that ate an apple
It's better than treating illegals like they're god's gift to the fucking country.
What if they like being raped...
Castration would be good right there.
Where do you live? I've never had that problem.
It happens to me, too. Basically Phoenix, AZ, and everything south.
Well no doubt about that. You practically have to be fluent in Spanish if you want to get anything at a Garden Center here.
And trying to get rid of illegal immigrants is really just missing the point the US has done this to itself, it can't simply say no to it
Where do you live? I've never had that problem.
Houston. (That's where the garden center was anyway)
It's better than treating illegals like they're god's gift to the fucking country.
that's your argument?
the US has done this to itself, it can't simply say no to it
I'm saying no to it.
