Oh man, in Salamandastron when the badger king died... I must have read all of his books two or three times. I've still got them all lined up on my bookshelf.
It was so sad. It's been the only time I've cried from a form of media.
I loved these books when I was a kid. It sucks to see someone who was a big part of your childhood die.
I'm actually surprised how many Facepunchers know about him. I thought he was quite unheard of over the mainstream stuff.
He wrote books for the blind? What an idiot, doesn't he know they can't read I mean really.
i bet th89 is happy
I only read a few of the books, but I had friends that read tons of them and we talked about them. :(
He wrote books for the blind? What an idiot, doesn't he know they can't read I mean really.
Good god, that has to be the worst joke I have ever heard. It's not even offensive, it's just dumb.
I remember these two the most, aside from the original.
And so a final feast was made in his honour. They had lemon trifles, amber brown vegetable cakes with carrot sauce and potato, and just for the occasion a giant roll of cheese was rolled in. But no really I did like his books.
I loved the Redwall books. I even hated books so damn much, but I loved these.
I'm going to buy the rest of the books in memory of him when I get the dosh I still listen to redwall regularly. [editline]8th February 2011[/editline] 14 plays through the book in 2 months
You guys say alot of good things about the books, so i will read one to honor him. Any suggestions?
What did he write? His name rings a bell.
 I loved his books as a child, I remember when I first took out Martin the Warrior from the library, I must have read it at least 10 times before going back to the library to get other books in the series.
no NO NOOOOOOOOOOOOO
He gave me many good memories. A great man, truly.
Goddamnit, now's the time to finish off my collection to pass on to my children. His family deserves the royalties. [editline]8th February 2011[/editline] TH89 must be happy, though.
Aw fuck no :(

I didn't know who he was until everyone was posting book covers. Childhood is coming back to me... SO SAD :crying:
I read his books almost all the way through elementary school, this is incredibly sad. :smith:
Also the audiobooks are amazing, they all have a full cast as well as Brain being the main narrator. He's got such a nice accent.
Oh fuck, he was my favourite author when i was young, and i still read his books at 19. Damn, well that puts the mouldy cherry upon a shitty day. :smith:

That's how Cluny rolls.
I remember these books, I still got most of them in my room :sigh:
