NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! These books helped me survive Junior High when I was younger. Why Brian Jacques?
It's sad that he died, but at least he won't write anymore Redwall books :allears: I would have been heartbroken if he outlived Terry Pratchett
Author of Redwall, read the fucking OP.
K bro.
I have a few of the redwall books in hardcover, I might just go read them now....
Damn, I remember when he came for a book signing at my local Barnes and Noble. He let me fake upper cut him for a picture. I still have that autographed copy of Loamhedge at my house.

He and Terry Pratchett were my favorite authors back in middle school, their works can coexist perfectly well.
I have read so many of his books it's ridiculous back in middle school... A Redwall marathon is in order to honor this man
Never heard of him.
I still have some of his books up on my bookshelf. His books pretty much sum up late elementary and middle school for me. :smith:
Nostalgia up in this thread.
EULALIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAa
Oh fuck, whose battle cry was this again? I feel depressed not being able to remember. Was it the badgers'?
I feel dumb for not knowing this guy. But I see how most of you loved this guy, so Rest in peace.
Oh fuck, whose battle cry was this again? I feel depressed not being able to remember. Was it the badgers'?
Yep, it was the Salamandastron cry. I'm pretty sure that the hares there said it too. This makes me super sad. He was an awesome writer and his books were so addicting. Just last weekend I said 'I wonder what will happen when Brian Jacques dies?' Little did I know... On another sad note: No more Castaway stories either. R.I.P Brian Jacques, Martin the Warrior, Felldoh, Badrang the Tyrant, Rose, Grumm, Luke the Warrior, Beau the Hare, Vilu Draskar, Lord Brocktree, Dotti the Hare, Sunflash the Mace, Bella, Lady Cregga Rose Eyes, Cluny the Scourge, Orlando the Axe, Taggerung, the Skippers and Foremoles of Redwall Abbey, Triss, Nimbalo, Gorath the Flame, Russano the Wise, Lonna the Bowstripe, Ferahgo the Assassin, Raga Bol, Horty, Springald, Fenna, Bragoon and Sarobando, all the Marlfoxes, Matthias the Warrior, Mattimeo the Warrior, Martin II, Chugger, Trimp, Ferdy and Coggs, Gingevere Greeneyes, Tsarmia Greeneyes, Mask, the crew of the Sayna, Sayna, Verdauga Greeneyes, Lady Amber, Gruven, Sawney Rath, Eefara, Vallug Bowbeast, Queen Amballa, the Gawtrybe, all the Log-a-Logs, Lord Rawnblade, Captain Tramun Josiah Cuttlefish Clogg... Hours. Hours were spent listening to him narrate these books on old tapes I got from the library. Many a night was spent reading his books. R.I.P Brian Jacques. You were my favorite writer of all time.
"There would have been many more novels, but their tales will now remain forever untold." from his wikipedia page, can't believe he even had a book released in 2011, so many stories he still felt like he had to tell... :(
WHAT?! NOOOOOOOOOOOO! Oh wait, I thought it was Jacques Rousseau. Still, NOOOOOO!
that sucks i read most of his books when i was younger and loved them. [editline]9th February 2011[/editline] my favorite was salamandastron [editline]9th February 2011[/editline] rip
Fuck that sucks, I read quite a few of these back in elementary school.
i've read all of the redwall shit, got all the books hardback in a box. I got most of them signed by him too, drove a couple hundred miles away (his writing hand was in a cast and all fucked up from writing too much, it was sweet) and then he sat around and told like 300+ children stories and shit [editline]9th February 2011[/editline] i guess i should mention his passing makes me sad, too, eh?

(although Redwall books did get me into reading in 4th grade so I can't hate too much)
Dang, all my Redwall books are read to pieces. My favorite, Redwall is now entirely covered in duct tape, the title written in a 8-year old's handwriting. I have all of them up to "Triss" guess i better get all of them now...
I sure hope they serve meadowcream at his funeral. Because it just wouldn't be a Brian Jacques related event without it.
scones and strawberry cordial [editline]11th February 2011[/editline] and vermin flesh
scones and strawberry cordial [editline]11th February 2011[/editline] and vermin flesh
and honey fuck they eat so much goddamned honey they must have half the fucking country's bees under their iron and butter slathered fist [editline]11th February 2011[/editline] by the way what the fuck is meadow cream
I remember the Redwall TV show. It was one of my favorite cartoons as a kid. :saddowns:

Or is it just a parody and exaggeration of what brian jacques was done/said? His excessive descriptions of feasts was a bit annoying at times I think..
