Oh boy, that reminds me of when the thread when they first put out those promotional images. [t]http://i.imgur.com/Prm7FfV.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/5MvDX2H.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/G3JKToZ.png[/t]
Oh my god I think I'm fucking dying.
The only person who is suited to direct this series is James Cameron, and even he isn't very good at directing anymore. Everyone else seems to take the franchise as a character-based melodrama with a few CGI action scenes thrown in.
This is going to flop I feel bad for Arnold
This is going to flop I feel bad for Arnold
i don't. dude has enough money to last him, his children, and his grandchildren until they die.
john connor's a fucking robot lmao
ugh, spoilers
I remember someone (on FP or Youtube I can't remember) that the best one they should hype films is by releasing short teasers which are around 50 seconds long so they don't give too much away and keep hype. It's why I usually only watch one trailer for films I want to watch. Usually the first ones they release, it has saved having a few films spoiled for me. The same with particular games as well.
Wait, John being a robot is supposed to be a big twist? What imbecile thought that the trailers should showcase it then?
Bunch of fucking idiots at the marketing team. All they needed for a trailer was a few random explosions/action movements, show a few seconds of Arnie turning around (or some such shit), go to black screen saying "He's back" and then the movie info. You don't need a fucking 3 minute trailer showing every plot twist ánd how the main bad guy dies. Technically speaking you don't even have to go to the cinema to watch it, everybody who's watched that trailer knows the important bits already anyway.
I've found lately that the less I look up a movie beforehand the more likely I will be to enjoy it. I turned off the Fury Road trailer half-way and it was likely far more enjoyable because of that.

It's not just in the trailer btw. It's smack in the middle of the fucking posters that Connor is a Terminator. G fucking G.
I remember I used to look at old 80's and 90's trailers and I would criticize them and laugh because they would give away so much now i realize that nothing has changed
I went to a screening and the fact that it was spoiled was the least of its problems. This made Terminator Salvation look like Judgement Day.
Terminator Salvation was decent though [editline]30th June 2015[/editline]
Fury Road wasn't really a reboot though. I mean, in a sense it is, cause it's reviving an old series, but I don't think it negates any of the older movies.
It does. Max has visions of his child as a gradeschooler when his child died in the first movie as an infant. Also there doesn't seem to even be a mention of Max's old occupation and all the factions are what you would call super stereotypes of post apocalyptic society compared to the pretty civil world of the original Max. To me this doesn't mesh with the original movie, although maybe it might with the sequel because I heard that one also took a different turn from the original. Haven't watched number 2 myself though. Colin Trevorrow isn't that happy, either.
That was so fucking dumb of putting [sp] the helicopter crash scene into the global trailer. As soon as you experienced the "there is no need for another pilot" by Masrani you instantly knew that he was going to die[/sp]
I haven't even seen the movie and i probably wont. All I've managed to make sense of this movie is A) A bunch of shit that we've already seen happens, and B) A bunch of shit that terminator fans never wanted to see happens.

He mentions at the very beginning of the film that he used to be a cop, and that wasn't his family. They were others he tried to help. As reboots go, George Miller says he likes to think it took place after Thunderdome, but there's no real timeline for the series. Each film may or may not have happened. He's a myth of The Wastes. Way different from what's going on here.
The trailer came on for this whilst watching Mad Max and they literally give away 2 major plot twists and pretty much the entire story line in the trailer.. I mean, honestly, what the fuck is the point in watching the film then? It's like if the trailer for Shutter Island contained the plot twist, nobody would go and see it. Whoever was in charge of marketing and the creation of the trailer is a complete and utter moron
Yet people still see the films. You have to understand that the mass public aren't the kind of people to complain about this on an internet forum - they will watch the movie regardless. They just want to see explosions, guns, and Arnie. I garuantee that this film will be one of the biggest films of this year. And whilst it is a shame, it wouldn't surprise me if the marketing team knew exactly what they were doing.
Uh. He mentions at the very beginning of the film that he used to be a cop, and that wasn't his family. They were others he tried to help.
Actually, the little girl that Max hallucinates calls her "Pa" near the end of the movie. Tom Hardy is signed on for like, 3 more movies, and I'm pretty sure the comics are still running, so that might get explained.
Last terminator I saw was 3, where arnie protects John from that female terminator. I've heard they were all fucking awful since that one
The marketing didn't even need to be that massive. All they had to say was "New Terminator" and people would have been sold. They lost a lot of viewers, including me.
Colin Trevorrow isn't that happy, either.
Wait people didn't like that Chris Pratt Raptor Pack scene in the trailer? Me and my friends thought it was fucking awesome
Wait people didn't like that Chris Pratt Raptor Pack scene in the trailer? Me and my friends thought it was fucking awesome
For those people it looked like that they are best friends forever and they got mad over it.
What was the 6th Harry Potter trailer mistake? I never watched the movies.
For those people it looked like that they are best friends forever and they got mad over it.
I still don't see how Chris Pratt being best friends with Raptors is a bad idea
john connor's a fucking robot lmao
wait do you mean actor wise or is that a plot spoiler if the latter fuck you I managed to avoid that trailer
wait do you mean actor wise or is that a plot spoiler if the latter fuck you I managed to avoid that trailer
its a plot spoiler, not like it really matters, you find it out kind of early in the movie and it's the twist that the director is complaining about
