Guardian says Hawaii results aren't expected until after midnight eastern. Not sure why they are using eastern for Hawaii but yeah like 4 1/2 hours to go.
Its common because a considerable amount of the population lives on the east coast. Makes it easy to figure out across the 4 time zones in the continental US.
the original america started on the east coast :terrists: bernie got alot of peeps tonight, this is a good thing.
Anybody know why, even though 100% of the Alaska votes are purportedly in (barely over 500), we still don't have a visualization county-by-county?
Says so right under the results. "The Alaska Democratic Party has released state-level data. District-level data is still pending."

East coast has a lot of media organizations however.
Says so right under the results. "The Alaska Democratic Party has released state-level data. District-level data is still pending."
Ack, I'm blind, didn't see that.
went to the caucus for my area today, and was surprised by the overwhelming bernie support. my precinct ended with 24 Sanders, 11 Clinton, 1 Undecided. the undecided eventually changed to Clinton. i got to be the caucus secretary, and was nominated to be a delegate, though i turned that down because i wont be available for that. was pretty cool, tbh. [editline]26th March 2016[/editline] oh yeah, the trump supporter i live with was pretty grumbly about it too lol.
I believe you now. I've heard a lot of allegations about NBC and media bias towards Hilary and I didn't know they were true. Did some googling and a lot of sites are reporting that NBC loves Clinton and hates Bernie.
At least 3 MSNBC hosts have openly endorsed Clinton on national broadcast time.
There's a national convention that happens for each party nearer to the fall...

It's complicated as shit. Each state has a different process for casting votes for delegates, plus registering with the party to vote in the general, and territories + global can vote for additional delegates (even though they can't vote in the actual general election).
Sounds like the consequences of having a two-party system. What a mess. Cheers for the explanation
How many delegates are up for grabs in Washington?
How many delegates are up for grabs in Washington?
118
How many delegates are up for grabs in Washington?
118. 101 pledged, 17 unpledged.
District results are coming in for Alaska. Since many of them have Clinton under 15%, doesn't that mean that Bernie's score of 80.7% could actually increase?
Thanks guys
118
This is why I hate the way we report this stuff. Bernie is going to get a majority, but no news place is going to speculate on how many other than the whole 23 he already won. Theres a lot missing still for 89% reporting
They're also making sure to include super-delegates in all their totals tonight, implying that Sanders has to win 75%+ of the remaining delegates to stand a chance.
To be fair, a lot of people do that, as if it means anything since the supers will just pledge according to what the voted ones are anyways (or else commit political suicide)
Bernie Sanders needed to have solid wins today to stand anything like a chance at getting the nomination. It's looking like he's got some serious landslides.
Any word on Hawaii, they've been open for nearly 4hours now.. thought for sure there'd be some results.
Any word on Hawaii, they've been open for nearly 4hours now.. thought for sure there'd be some results.
Guardian still says come back in an hour.
Guardian still says come back in an hour.
And CNN won't stop playing shows about jesus
The difference between the two in delegates (excluding superdelegates) is <300. There are over 2000 left after Hawaii. If Bernie barely managed to obtain the necessary 300 delegates, that'd be a split of the future delegates at about 850 - 1150 Clinton - Bernie. That honestly isn't a significant threshhold if Sanders maintains momentum, as he'd only need to win ~57% (or actually a little less than that) of all the next delegates to end up passing Hillary. It's still very much a possibility regardless of what people think of his chances, especially on the assumption that the superdelegates sway to whoever has the most delegates by votes. (If I am wrong and I accidentally considered remaining superdelegates within this total amount, then I apologize. Regardless, I do not see his chances as over yet.) EDIT: (Seems what I stated first is the case according to the Chicago Tribune and that it does not include superdelegates)
Any word on Hawaii, they've been open for nearly 4hours now.. thought for sure there'd be some results.
Hawaii results won't be released until after midnight (EST).
If this is real, this is fucking cringeworthy tbh
That's like the most Ben & Jerry's Ben & Jerry's ice cream I've ever seen
Any word on Hawaii, they've been open for nearly 4hours now.. thought for sure there'd be some results.
Nothing official. I doubt we'll see anything conclusive for another hour or two. Here's an unofficial count courtesy of Reddit.com (not sure how credible this is): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1pc3BcftIpsQf4cnpx9gXu_MVu0fe362OMhrP5W5IGCM/htmlview?ts=56f6daab&sle=true#gid=136076460
I'm very pleased to see that Bernie has done so well today. Hopefully the trend continues.
I honestly think that Bernie has a fairytale run in him. These landslide results from the past week could translate into good momentum, if he got proper and unbiased media coverage on things like these it wouldn't be such a long shot.
How many delegates does Bernie Sanders required to get in the lead?
New York is going to be a big obstacle. If he can get through that relatively unscathed, it'll be a good race. Last I saw, California is only +7 for Hillary, and we've still got a lot of time to work on it.
How many delegates does Bernie Sanders required to get in the lead?
Not including superdelegates, based off what The Guardian says right now he's 278 behind.
Snip
