It's hardly a revolutionary idea that burning out an area with a smaller, controlled fire can stop the spread of a large one. Not that I think people are fires, but choose a better analogy.

Ridiculing Hitler is a staple of modern German comedy.

This is actually a thing that's done, if you didn't know. When fighting forest fires or *very* large urban fires, the only thing to do is make a firebreak to contain it, and let it burn itself out. And it's often easiest to make a firebreak by controlled burns. Which leads to weird pictures like this firefighter or this one.
In other words, yes, you can absolutely put out fire with a flamethrower.
Well it was the harlem shake video. One of the fucking weirdest fads
I had completely forgotten that Filthy Frank was the one who created the harlem shake
That's funny, I picked the book up in charity shop few months ago, really good and fun read. Then I remember thinking " oh this would be really good movie" and now, here it is. Got to see this.
I read this book about a month ago, was fantastic! Seriously funny and if your up on your history there is loads of references.
