this guy studies string theory, Michio Kaku is awesome
Why is everyone rating me dumb for saying String Theory is silly...
So for the string theory, atoms are replaced with strings? Or are the atoms made of them?
I'm not very physics-ey :science::hydrogen:

Just don't even worry about it.
Alrighty then

I was so surprised when I realized the internet loved Michio Kaku.
I don't see the appeal.

Have you read his books, or heard his sweet angelic Asian voice? It's like having your ear fucked by marshmallows and fluffy pillows.

He's the Japanese Morgan Freeman.
Now I just feel violated.

watching him talk in that video gave me a raging erection
I don't think using an idea to solve something necessarily gives it more credibility. I don't really have anything against string theory, but you need to be able to explain more than one phenomenon for it to be really believable
I don't know what the hell I'm saying actually just ignore this post

You're saying something like this except with a neutral stance on the string theory.

He is awesome.
He's always on the public access science shows.

Can I go to bed with you?
Between me and Nemutan, I don't think there'd be enough room.
I understand.
LOL, facepunch doesn't "believe" in the string theory and yet they seems so sure about dark matter, big crunch/rip, time travel, faster than light travel...
Never cease to amaze me.

Dude, I'll show you, I'll show you all one day, that time travel is possible, man, I'll pull out this machine which like, warps time and shit, you know? And then you'll travel in those holes and tubees and shit, man, you'll by flying up in that timespace
I haven't studied Physics in enough depth to make any valid judgements on String Theory, but I don't have any issues with it at the moment.
Hell, whatever allows us to understand the universe around us is ine with me.
Don't worry, son, God explains it all.
(sarcasm)
Why the hell do they use the term high-temperature instead of low-temperature?
Wow, I'm at a loss for how mind killingly thick you are.

Actually there's an experiment that's being performed at this moment that uses high-powered lasers fired in a circular motion to warp the space-time continuum in order to send data backwards through time.

Facepunch isn't a community of physicists. It's a very diverse community.
Didn't Einstein have two theories that worked, but couldn't be combined, and String Theory is hopefully going to bridge that gap ?

My brain turns into honey with this rate.

I told you, do not question this man.
Fuck :ninja:
nah i shouldnt be so mean
It is possible to make up any theory to explain something unknown. Just because something fits doesn't mean it's true, especially since there could be hundreds of others theories that could also make sense.

and that's how all of science works!!!!
