When I heard him say that I thought, "Yep, just watch the Mexicans now." It's just a joke. If Top Gear made a joke that a Canadian sports car ran on Maple Syrup, I'd laugh.

This is quite common with complaining about the TV in the UK, one person takes offence and then moans to a newspaper and suddenly OFCOM get thousands of complaints a few days after the broadcast.
