I thought of Portland because of Portlandia.
I love living in Seattle. The Georgetown area in the south is really really weird. And Portland is just a train ride away. I'm surprised I didn't see Williamsburg, NYC on the list though.
I don't understand how NYC isn't on that list, especially Manhattan. That place is swarming with Hipster scum. We should gather them all in Downtown (Union Square, to be precise) and nuke it from orbit.
Portland's been pretty hipster for a while.
Maine I mean
yeah never go to providence it sucks in rhode island here
I pretty much spent a good portion of my day today strolling around Providence. It's a pretty shitty city and it seems every highway shoves you into fucking Cranston.
HAHAHAHAHAHA SEATTLE FINALLY WINS AT SOMETHING!!!!!!! TAKE THAT ALL YOU LOS-oh......well shit
We win at being a pretty fun city, I think.
Nuke Seattle, I'm so sick of "Hey maaaaaaan don't support big companies maaaaaaan *Takes a sip of Starbucks coffee whilst playing on a macbook*"
and i'm sick of misanthropic basement dwellers so let's call it a truce, okay
Nuke Seattle, I'm so sick of "Hey maaaaaaan don't support big companies maaaaaaan *Takes a sip of Starbucks coffee whilst playing on a macbook*"
This isn't exclusive nor really a common thing to Seattle, but okay.
new orleans? sludge metal and outlaw country isn't hipster music. they have a fair orgcore scene but just because they like pbr doesn't mean they're hipsters
i can confirm that seattle is hipster mecca [editline]18th April 2012[/editline]
Nuke Seattle, I'm so sick of "Hey maaaaaaan don't support big companies maaaaaaan *Takes a sip of Starbucks coffee whilst playing on a macbook*"
don't nuke seattle it's really a wonderful city
God I hate my city. Portland is incredibly annoying to go to now because I hate looking at hipsters. They try too hard to be different.
God I hate my city. Portland is incredibly annoying to go to now because I hate looking at hipsters. Woo! Philadelphia is only number 9. Also that coffee place they mentioned isn't even that good. If you want a good cup of coffee you gotta head to Elixr coffee. Much better.
Am I the only one rather baffled at the vitriol directed at hipsters? They're hardly the most annoying breed of hypocrites.
I'm surprised that Portland is higher than San Francisco. Although Portland kinda seems normal to me seeing as I've lived in or around it all my life. San Francisco seemed rather normal the one time I've been there. Seattle actually did too.

While they have secret competitions for who can get the most attention.
Why was Seattle my first guess?
Because it's a really open, friendly city?(Except for that part next to Chinatown) Because Grunge originated there? Been to the first 3 cities. Lovely locations. Frisbee-golf in SanFran was cool.
I never found hipsters on a whole to be obnoxious maybe i just don't give a shit enough to notice them being pretentious??? idk
I'm just glad no Minnesotan city is on there. There's whole warrens of those cocksuckers down in the Twin Cities and they come up here every so often. I'm allergic to anything artsy and pretentious, so I stock up on antihistamines before the weekend.
I went to this hipster burrito bar in Manayunk, which is just north of Philadelphia. I have to say, those hipsters make a damn good burrito.
I can definitely confirm that there are a lot of hipsters in Seattle.
Lots of hipsters on the west coast.
Valve is in Seattle, suddenly Facepunch loves it
Valve is in Seattle, suddenly Facepunch loves it
Valve is in Redmond.
Valve is in Redmond.
Which is right by Seattle and certainly within the sphere of hipster influence. They aren't just talking about the city itself, but the metropolitan area.
Dead straight. Seattle is Hipster central. Also Redmond is like the suburban version of Bellevue, which is the classy version of Seattle.
Which is right by Seattle and certainly within the sphere of hipster influence. They aren't just talking about the city itself, but the metropolitan area.
By Seattle is not in Seattle though. Your claim that Valve is in Seattle is still wrong.
And your claim that they're in Redmond is wrong (Bellevue) who cares everyone gets the point
