If hell exists it's a place where you have to be a vegetarian
Nah; a real hell would be purgatory with only vegans (that are peta members) and westboro baptist church members. But the kicker is that one of Gordon Ramseys high class restaurants (but it has an all gay staff; to rile up WBC obviously) sits in plain view of all of these people. But there is an invisible barrier keeping anyone from getting close; and guess who is chained to a chair and has to listen to all of the comments from these people? You. [editline]20th March 2014[/editline]

I need this
If I didn't read the article I wouldn't even understand what 1 steak= 50 baths meant. If I give them one steak, I get to watch them bathe 50 times?
I'd have gotten ice cubes from somewhere and dumped them in.
Yeah somehow I doubt it's more environmentally taxing, given agricultural runoff.
Purely from an energy standpoint meat is far more taxing on the environment. Raising livestock requires a shitload of water, space, feed, and energy compared to just raising crops. It makes sense if you think about it, given that we actually feed more of our crops to livestock than we do to people. Feeding cows to make beef is a shitload less efficient energy-use wise than just eating the crops.

Isn't this.. like.. indecent exposure?
How does livestock cause more water pollution One of the lakes around here is a borderline disgusting cesspool because of agricultural farms around it...
shush, PETA has that covered they want us to also not use fertilizers or herbacides, so back to mideval levels of crop yields for us, which means...oh ya several billion people will die due to lack of food.
I'm for the ethical treatment of animals, but I'm not for People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals.
I'm for the ethical treatment of animals, but I'm not for People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals.
I legitimately feel bad for every piggie we kill every december. But the tasty meat makes up for it.
you usually dont give me good looking naked women if you want to stop me from doing something
I'm vegetarian but this is just silly. And why preach to save water if they wasted an entire bathtub full of it just for this stunt?
What shitty logic. If your sexy women demonstration induces someone to stop eating steak, then that is a net gain of 29 "baths" of water, plus 30 for every additional steak not consumed. "Hurr replace the gross crops with meat" is not a viable strategy because the meat has to be fed by more plants. The dismal truth is that meat consumption is simply very taxing on the environment, and if we could healthily reduce or eliminate that, it would be ideal. You have to face this truth.

Animal welfare is so much better than animal rights. Treating animals well is great, saying they are equal to humans is not.
if someone could post that infographic about what peta actually does that would be awesome. I don't know where to find it
[t]http://www.petinsurancecomparison.org/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/peta_infographic_final.png[/t] [t]http://cdn-www.i-am-bored.com/media/petafacts.jpg[/t]
Don't you understand? Whenever you have 1 steak 50 bathtubs of water are lost FOREVER. They're gone for good. Thanks PETA for showing me the way.
did you know when you drink water it dissapears woww [editline]20th March 2014[/editline] explain that, meat eaters? dumb jokes aside i understand how meat production in our current economy and environment can be seriously taxing but peta are making a really fucking dumb move. objectification of women in some kind ineffective advertisement for veganism? nty
why do peta treat animals like people and women like animals?
I'm allergic to soy, wheat, almonds, and peanuts. It's one of the only ways I can really gain protein without my bodies immune system shutting down. So no. I'll continue to eat meat.
the world needs to scale down its meat production, not phase it out, that's the thing. simple thermodynamics shows that producing meat is wasting more food than anything - you have to feed livestock with food that you could be using to feed people, and buy-and-large you'll be feeding less people in the sense that you'll always need more feed than you'll have animals. once we figure out how to grow meat without having to raise an animal to get to that point, though, we're golden.
mmm i love objectifying women to prove a point sure is great
Tell those wild animals to go vegan.
And stop wearing fur!
This article reminded me to buy some steaks and burgers for this weekend. Thanks, PETA.
[t]http://www.petinsurancecomparison.org/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/peta_infographic_final.png[/t]
What retard made this image? Have they ever heard of a thing called contrast?
"If you want to save the planet, the best place to start for most people is to adopt a vegan diet, no meat, dairy or animal products."
So This is eco-friendly, yet this isn't? Fuck off PETA. Nobody cares about what you have to say, you're spewing bullshit again, and all your nudity stunt has done is given a bunch of people some free fap material.
Eat steak AND get to see more tits in public. Jesus christ im movin to ottawa
What shitty logic. If your sexy women demonstration induces someone to stop eating steak, then that is a net gain of 29 "baths" of water, plus 30 for every additional steak not consumed
Nope, because some nitwit quits eating steak over that bathtub stunt doesn't mean that the slaughter houses are going to stop producing steak for one less person.
Isn't any water that's consumed in the process of raising cattle just going to end up in the water supply again anyway? lake -> (Drinking water) cow -> piss/shit/moisture-from-breath -> dirt -> evaporation/soaking-into-the-dirt -> Clouds/ground -> lake
Steak may take 50 baths, but living steak takes at least 100 baths.
