You get a complete mid-range PC in a form so you can take it everywhere and use it everywhere, i don't really think its right to compare a tablet PC to a desktop PC.

At home i would use the 2 things on the side and while away you could just use it as a tablet. It has more RAM, better CPU, more HDD space, better webcam and has a 10x better graphic card then the Surface Pro.

I definitely wouldn't mind having one, the portability of a tablet, yet able to play games, albeit without much of the GPU power of desktops or even some laptops and it can take advantage of the tablet features of windows 8
