I might be bad at flags then. It was like a St Georges cross.
How long before Putin publicly offers his troops and support to quell the uprising? Or till he deems the government is unstable and he must interact?
A while. Doing that now would piss off even the pro-Russian faction. He'll have to wait until it goes into full-blown civil war before he can send anything beyond encouragement, let alone troops.

The most fabulous/metal revolution in the world.
People should start fighting for their freedom and rights instead of sitting back and letting it slide. It will become worser and worser and in the end, if we don't do anything about it, it cannot be stopped.
espreso.tv got technical difficulties right now.
I could see the pro-euros throwing pneumatics in the firewall. Let's hope for the best.
The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

I don't know... I think it is a bit better if people tried to avoid another Syria or Egypt or whatever.
Neither side (except maybe the politicians in charge of the cops) wants a real fight to break out, because if it does, Ukraine is fucked. The countries bordering Ukraine aren't gonna be happy about it (Russia especially), and people are gonna die by the masses.
Compared to the amount of refugees and displaced people from the Arab Spring, it's gonna be a torrential downpour on Europe. I doubt Russia would be very open to refugees, itself.
The only way for this not to become a nightmare is for the protesters to go home and face the consequences, or for the government to get out. And then you'll have either ex-protesters disappearing in the night or police who were suppressing the riots getting targeted.
People who are saying "fight for your rights!" are forgetting the terrible implications of turning this into a war, and are letting their own ideologies rule their emotions on the subject.
Probably getting placed on some NSA watchlist but come on ... we've been taking way to much shit from all of our governments.
The whole EU fiasco with referendums being hold, and governments action 100% opposite to the outcome. The whole NSA spying scandal which got everyone riled up, but people are letting up now.
Wars being fought not supported by the population.
Political promises not being kept..
A democracy is a political system in which the government fears the population, not one where the population fears the government. That's called a tyranny.
Edit://
I'm not some revolutionairy, but come on... there's a line which is going to be crossed at some point.

I'm not trying to say that violence is the answer here but peaceful protests. The protestors are trying to preserve the freedom and rights for future generations.

nobody wants their freedom taken away. Imagine if I told you that you couldn't drive because only people with money could drive cars.
you would be pissed.
Boy, they have been spraying water at the same spot for some time now, they aren't even spraying it at the fire, am I missing something here?
Boy, they have been spraying water at the same spot for some time now, they aren't even spraying it at the fire, am I missing something here?
It kind of looks like a busted pipe
Man Ukraine is fucked, feel bloody bad for them right now
I doubt they even have much of a chance against the government, with an average of only 6.6 guns/100 people they aren't terribly armed well, and against tanks and fully outfitted soldiers, I can't see it ending well. Also Ukraine is a more advanced state than somewhere like Syria or Libya, and Russia would be more than happy to stick their dick into the situation

Yeah the tanks are whats missing, they promised they would come in 30 minutes.
I'm actually quite serious here.
Are you one of those types who gets tears in their eyes when the national anthem is sung before sports matches?
If your going to fucking quote my fucking ancestors, at least let people know who made the quote jesus christ.
Why? The value of the quote lies in it's intrinsic message, not the person who it came from.

They've got a better chance than you'd think. There are signs the Army (or at least some parts of it) may side with the protesters, and if a full-scale revolution happens, guns will be pouring into the country anyways.

whats wrong with being patriotic?
Given all the tires that have been burning, I can't imagine what the smell is like over there
in tienaman square they also used APCs but to drive over people
That was China, a nation with thorough indoctrination at all levels of society, especially the military.
This is Ukraine.
whats wrong with being patriotic?
There's a point when it becomes obscenely over the top, for example:
If your going to fucking quote my fucking ancestors, at least let people know who made the quote jesus christ.
Who the fuck cares?
Given all the tires that have been burning, I can't imagine what the smell is like over there
The fires of freedom must be refreshed time to time from the tires of patriots.
Another water hose started up to the right of the first one? Something happening?
Engines revving too.
