That youtube one has PiP of both a ground crew and overhead view.
You know, it's kind of eerie to think that both sides are just sitting there, with no real idea (unless they're watching streams which most of them probably aren't) of what/how much of what lays on the other side.
There's a giant hole in the flames, most of it is just smoke now.

it's like being the spectator of an RTS match. Fog of war blocks them from seeing each other and whats going on. Though most sides seem to be rallying or idling. And the police are doing the idling.

It's spent ammo too, So it's probably true, Unlike the story of terriosts or US forces shooting on some house and the house owner is holding unused ammo.

Their shields are built out of a stronger, less flexible material. The stuff the protesters are banging on is more like corrugated iron or something.
Plus, they have things like gas, stun bombs (fireworks aren't really as good when it comes to accuracy and concussive impact), and various types of guns.
Don't know if you guys see, but alot of the protesters are wearing hockey gear or other sports gear. Some of them are ready to rock.
