Does anyone have any idea if those shields can actually stop a bullet? They probably offer the same kind of protection as a helmet, i.e. a small chance of deflecting a shot, but mostly there for the psychological aspect.

Certain shields can block 9mm rounds, but two well placed ones in the same spot and the shield will probably give.
Hmm, smoke's kinda clearing up

I keep half expecting that. Either that, or a helicopter that can circumvent the flames and dump gas all over the crowds.
Hmm, smoke's kinda clearing up
Tire runs are coming in. I did notice that most of the tires I saw when they had the ground cam had no tread. Aka they are going to dumps and not stealing tires.

That's horrible why would any one do that.

Yeah, that will float well with the International community.

I mean teargas.
So here's a question:
What happens if they actually make it into Parliament? It's not like a videogame where the second you achieve that single goal, everything changes. Would they hole up? Would they try and hold the building?
thats a huge fucking crowd coming in
Hate to be that guy but why don't the police tear gas the crowd, it would be unpopular but I'd try that before shooting and killing people.
Shits happening.

Get the popcorn, history is about to do what history does in a history way.
There were bursts and they backed away from the right for a minute.
So where are they in the city exactly?
Huge mob gathering at the right side, looks like they've backed up and stopped throwing rocks too. Something is happening.

No good on the ground streams, are they praying again?

I can't pick out any priests (You can tell by the scarf thingy they wear around there neck and drops down to there feet. From the back you can see a small peice of it) but looking at the crowd i can't see any like before.
like this

That's what they have been doing. Thing is, some of the protesters got guns, and some of the police got badly injured.
Plus, two people got shot when trying to cross a barricade. So a portion of the police have live guns now, while most of them have clubs and bombs. Going in with small arms isn't a good crowd dispersal method, too, unless they were planning on spraying things down using mounted/heavy weapons.
Man what I really want to see is a live/current satellite image of the place. Huge trail of smoke probably.
another tire batch came in
Anyone got a link on the ground? Might be able to get a better view at that crowd.

Berkut doesn't deserve getting molotovs thrown into their faces.

These are just normal, every-day folks protecting the democratically elected government chosen by the people. It'd be a different story had they been defending some dictator that murdered thousands like in Libya or Egypt. But just because the government enacted some knee-jerk laws in response to the protests doesn't mean they are literally fighting Stalin junior here.

We are dealing with the NSA In the united states, The funny part is us just typing and having political action "peacefully" has done nothing but still keep the NSA in-tact. The ukranian people want change and an answer now, Not years from now. That's the difference.
It looks like they are getting ready for a zerg rush. I figure they could probably easily take control of the theatre
