Must raise some suspicions. The rioters are not all "good people" fighting for their freedom. They are politically motivated. Its a power grab piggybacking on a legitimate cause, once the riots are over the rioters will have to be very careful about who gets in power or the freedom they fought for will be comprised by the very people they fought with.

You assume the APC was going to crush those people, then why did it stop. They obviously used the breaks, the momentum would carry it forward and having those petrol bombs thrown at it wouldn't slow it down. Well, that APC seems like it wasn't destroyed, the crew could be saved. They got the APC back after some efforts agaist the fire. However they had to retract from the hot-zone, with the APC damaged from fire. What I can guess. The blockages also look way to thick to be penetrated by an APC, like that.

Damn, that looks like an actual battle in medieval times. People with shields and clubs running towards each other in big groups. Being hit in the head while unprotected from a stone or a club like that could easily kill you, especially if it hits you in the temple or back of the head. No wonder why a lot of people have died there today with the clashes being this direct and violent.

Fear wins wars. There is nothing like a pressure-cooked APC crew and your brothers being dragged into the crowd during a retreat that will make a berkut think twice before being so enthusiastic themselves.
Ultimately there are horrible things happening either way. If the police would just side with the protestors and oust the president, they could get some elections going.
