The Verkhovna Rada ordered all military and police forces to return to their barracks ASAP
The Verknovna Rada accepted regulation #4152 "Of the condemnation of violence, which caused the deaths of innocent civilians". 236 MPs have voted for this The regulation demands all military, including the police, armed forces and the SBU to return to the barracks
Source (in Russian) http://www.rbc.ua/rus/news/politics/rada-progolosovala-za-vyvod-voennyh-formirovaniy-iz-kieva-20022014221100 Sorry for the shitty-ish translation
gore
Dude, tag that shit.
GORE
Gore all over! Holy shit!
The second video you posted... that's a pelletgun that looks like or resembles a Mosin? I know it's not a real one, because a real one sure makes it's presence known more than that that puny thing does. Smells like propaganda, especially coming from RT... I think this is somehow ment to justify the police using lethal force or something... But what I see here is a guy shooting a rifle of a low-caliber, possible even airpowered, at a target that we cannot see... and I have seen, on video, a female bystander getting shot with fully automatic AK47 fire by government (forces)...

I noted that it looks like it has a magazine tube under the barrel, or rather a tube that's not wide enough to be an air rifle gas canister, but on the other hand it didn't recoil at all nor did they show him eject the spent casing.
dudebleedingallovertheplace.jpg
Where did you get that photo from? When was it taken... and holy shit... imagine having to do that to defend what you believe in..
Where did you get that photo from? It was pretty grim, I don't ever want to be the guy who had to drag that corpse down the street :(
Few hours late. Been discussed already. It was suggested that the photo was taken out of context, might have been shrapnel, a stray bullet or glass. oh shit she died. Thats bad.
Nice try Ivan.
Dude, tag that shit.
Even If I knew how to tag it I wouldn't since this is a thread about a bloody revolution.
After hundred of people died, I don't think going "Okay violence done" will really work this time.
The military coup in Egypt shot and killed thousands. It was far more bloody than what we're seeing now, yet things have simmered away.
After hundred of people died, I don't think going "Okay violence done" will really work this time.
That's why I'm so confused with them just sending the police and military away, it feels like pointing a tv remote at an avalanche and trying to pause it.
Poor Ukrainian officials trying to flee from their mess.
What saddens me most is that we don't have a clue of what's really going on there. Most of information comes from either the protesters or government or some random sources which can hardly be considered objective and sometimes contradict each other. All we have is photos and some sketchy information which are impressive but don't really tell much. I guess you need to be there to understand what's really going on.
I still keep feeling the retreat is to do somewhat with Putin not wanting the revolution to spoil 'his' Olympics. He's lived up to this for YEARS and spent as much money as it took to get it done, and now his Olympics has to share the spotlight newscoverage with a pesky revolution of those 'damn disobedient Ukrainians'. Also, what is the government planning after this. People have been killed by government troops... how is there any way they can still retain legitimate power now... There's no way in hell the protestors who had to drag off their dead friends or family will just forget about it, and there's also no way the EU will leave this unsanctioned.

This thread is stretching the limits but videos don't show things in their thumbnails and we're not constantly posting up close images faces painted in their own blood
I've been at the Maidan last Saturday and I still don't understand how bad everything is right now
Wow, first of all, my huge respect to you. Seriously, I don't think many people outside of Ukraine would have the 'balls' needed to do what you're doing or even go near the Maidan. Second of all, would you tell us something of what you experienced? For the sake of unbiased and honest reporting?

This was 2 days before the last wave of shit hitting the fan. I'm kinda glad I wasn't there on Tuesday though
It was really peaceful there then, wasn't scary at all. This was 2 days before the last wave of shit hitting the fan
Thanks. I see, good thing. Did you just walk around or did you get involved by helping or delivering supplies or? How far did you have to travel? Did you go alone or with friends? Did your relatives try to convince you not to go or? It's hard for me to gauge how the people of Ukraine outside of the Maidan are dealing with this, apart from my family in Zhuliany. Edit:/ I don't care getting boxes, anonymous criticism is null to me, but I hate not understanding why I'm getting them? Care to explain?
I just realized this might've been caused in some form by this: http://www.itv.com/news/update/2014-02-20/eu-foreign-ministers-agree-sanctions-on-ukraine/ pdf document from the EU council: http://www.consilium.europa.eu/uedocs/cms_data/docs/pressdata/EN/foraff/141110.pdf
That also includes the fact that they are stopping the member nations from selling tools that can be used by the police to repress the population. My guess would be that this isn't a problem, since they likely are getting most of the stuff from Russia anyway. The biggest deal is denying visas and freezing assets of those responsible, which means the government. Some of them probably aren't pleased with the though that they might not be anble to enter the EU for a while.
Some of them probably aren't pleased with the though that they might not be anble to enter the EU for a while.
It wouldn't be many, they wouldn't plan on joining the Eurasian Union to begin with if they did.
It wouldn't be many, they wouldn't plan on joining the Eurasian Union to begin with if they did.
Yeah but a lot of prosperous Russians like going to Greece, Spain and Bulgary for their holidays. And a lot of their finances are held in European banks. They also spoke of freezing assets right? I bet this has to do with it too.
It wouldn't be many, they wouldn't plan on joining the Eurasian Union to begin with if they did.
Yanukovich proposed Ukraine as an observer, even then, I doubt that's relevant.
So the riot police were ordered back to their barracks' and the violence is over for now? Am I getting this right?
So the riot police were ordered back to their barracks' and the violence is over for now? Am I getting this right?
Considering it's 5 in the morning in Ukraine right now (meaning they were sent back towards the end of the day), combined with the police returning to the barracks, that's a safe bet.
Guys, why is Pr0fane being dumbed to death? It sounds like he has some legitimate questions for someone who actually attended the protests.
Apparently the government is in full document burning mode;
