Riots are some really serious shit, why isn't this covered by the media?
Because people don't give a damn.
No offense, but are you dense or just misinformed? I can forgive the former.
I know the shit the government is pulling, especially with the latest laws. All I'm saying is you can't expect the police to calm shit when they're facing scenes like that, its just going to lead to more escalations and death. The point I'm trying to raise is the police are doing their job (correctly), are facing massive dangers over something they have no say in. Its getting near the point where something big is going to happen and realistically force is never the way forward with protests like this (from the government).
The stream I'm watching right now on ukrstream.tv was showing some guy who was pouring gasoline on the barricade. I think the protesters might be pulling back a bit, I'm not sure.

Should Ukrainians just stay in their homes and hope that this is resolved on a diplomatic level? How exactly do you think that'll work? The point you're trying to raise has been passed a long time ago. The police are physical manifestation of the government. As long as they're trying to stop the protests there will be clashes. Until it reaches the point where the police either lays their arms down and/or joins the protesters, it's not going to stop. The protesters will win. They have the massive advantage which is numbers. The only question is how long will it take and how far will the government take it.

The police have been attacking them, they're just trying to hold the line. And they *can't* "disperse peacefully". They try that, and they'll be beaten by the cops and arrested, then thrown in jail for a few decades. And because the protests have been non-violent occupation for nearly three months now, there are lots of elderly people in there, now trapped. The police have been dragging people out of ambulances to arrest them and have damaged hospitals that have treated protesters. Honestly, the Berkut are acting more like the vandals/punks you seem to think the protesters are than the protesters themselves. The police can stand down. If they leave, the protesters aren't going to be throwing molotovs at anything or digging up streets for stones to throw. They'll just go back to sitting there in the square until their demands are met.
Could have sworn this was from another riot. I remember seeing it a long time ago.
It says December 2013 in the URL
Could have sworn this was from another riot. I remember seeing it a long time ago.
It's from the "peaceful" protests a few months back. Pretty sure they don't have that tractor anymore
Could have sworn this was from another riot. I remember seeing it a long time ago.
Pretty sure that was two months ago, this protests has been going on for awhile.
Damn, this is pretty terrifying. I just hope this settles down soon enough before more people get hurt.
This is from 6 weeks ago. How can you ignore that? This is what happens when you don't listen.
The protests are fucking huge and the government is just clamping down harder and harder. This isn't going to settle down anytime soon
i think that the only thing that will settle this down is the old government getting thrown out
[t]http://puu.sh/6unoe.png[/t] I dunno if this is real or not but if it is then what the fuck.
Fuck this is bad.

This is disgusting, I don't like it when America pokes its business into other countries affairs but maybe it should this time...

I always shed a tear for people like this, they're just trying to get everyone to calm down and come together and stop fighting, yet it almost never happens and in some cases they even end up getting hurt in the process, it's saddening. I feel for them.
This is disgusting, I don't like it when America pokes its business into other countries affairs but maybe it should this time...
I feel for the people involved, but I dont think my country should be stepping into anymore conflicts that dont directly involve the US.
reposting this holy shit, the fires look intense
I feel for the people involved, but I dont think my country should be stepping into anymore conflicts that dont directly involve the US.
I'm just worried about the amount of people that are going to meaninglessly die in this, its bound to go on for a long time unless something big happens.
The whole situation in Ukraine is fucked up, it's almost like a stalemate, the police can only arrest protesters/rioters which in turn gives people more of a reason to protest/riot. It's turning into an uncontrollable situation, no matter how many laws the government make to crack down on the riots.
