Elections are going to make this worse.

[editline]22nd February 2014[/editline] I mean goddammit could you take a step back and think about what the Soviet relations to Ukraine were? And if you say "Oh that was just Stalin" you can shut your mouth. Ukraine was exploited by the Communists and I don't blame the people of Ukraine to want to kick them out.
no it was actually done by Nazis
I'm just talking about anti-communist sentiment in general. I should have clarified. Sorry if I sounded aggressive. I know little of Svoboda, my apologies.
Pull all of the Lenin statues down, it's what he would have wanted.
Pull all of the Lenin statues down, it's what he would have wanted.
He didn't want them in the first place. Also why Ukrainians are so late on this "tear down the statues" train? We did that over 20 years ago and never looked back. [sp]Now not to be insensitive to Ukrainians, but it's as if they didn't knew they were free or not after the fall of USSR.[/sp]
i'm glad that Ukraine is finally removing everything USSR related
A neat bit of political art made by some Syrian rebels/
They should sell the Lenin statues, they could make quite a bit of dosh selling them to collectors, museums or such.
They should sell the Lenin statues, they could make quite a bit of dosh selling them to collectors, museums or such.
Nah. Grind em up, recycle them, use them in rebuilding.
i'm glad that Ukraine is finally removing everything USSR related
They'll need to remove the Crimea to do that.
They'll need to remove the Crimea to do that.
it seems to be doing that by itself [editline]23rd February 2014[/editline] can anybody translate what this guy is saying?
can anybody translate what this guy is saying?
Nothing interesting apart from that the soldiers inside the trucks appear to be in full equipment and that it's kinda "not good".

Didn't the military abandon him?
Ukrainian soldiers?
In Russian trucks?
Ukrainian soldiers?
Russians. That's a Russian military column heading towards Novorossiysk. Less than a battalion, must be part of motorized detachment. [editline]24th February 2014[/editline]
In Russian trucks?
As if there were any Ukrainian trucks. All post-soviet countries use Urals.
In Russian trucks?
I assumed the post-soviet countries generally used the same trucks.
I assumed the post-soviet countries generally used the same trucks.
Russian number plates in Kamaz trucks??
Russian number plates?
After turning up the quality and slowly looking through the video, I could find "RUS" so I assume you are probably correct.
Russian number plates in Kamaz trucks??
Oh, yeah, btw, since these guys are in Kamaz trucks (I didn't look at the trucks, only people inside) instead of Ural trucks, they might be marines aka naval infantry.
Do we know if they are actually doing anything in the Ukraine at all, or are just moving to the city for normal reasons?
Do we know if they are actually doing anything in the Ukraine at all, or are just moving to the city for normal reasons?
There's one single road going around the coast, so all military convoys use it, must be a pretty common thing. Most likely they've just finished exercises or something and going to their base, or other way around. Southern Military District is the most active one of all.
Do we know if they are actually doing anything in the Ukraine at all, or are just moving to the city for normal reasons?
They're not in Ukraine, they're on the M25 enroute to Novorossiysk, in Novorossiysk there is a new naval base and past Novorossiysk is Sochi, there are definitely a lot of military activity in Krasnodar Krai.
