TF2 dlc is going to be free. Thats probably another reason EA wants it to fail.
Yeah you know, I was just thinking that. They can't get extra cash out of it with a season pass.
Such a shame, really, because the game seems decent from all the feedback I've heard.

That's quite a stretch there.
EA spent a lot of money on Respawn, including funding their engine choice (Source, fuck any engine, isn't cheap) and the development of a genuinely different FPS franchise for the time. They clearly want Respawn. But the total lack of advertising budget allocation is making me wonder if they are trying to get Respawn to fold so they can add them to DICE (a-la Visceral and DICE LA).
I expect it has very little to do with "ughh they aren't feeding the dlc machine" and more to do with them wanting that talent working on their major franchise instead.
Out of BF1 and TF2, TF2 actually looks like something I want to play. BF1 looks fun as hell, but I need a much more acardey shooter in my life right now and huge mech fights being thrown in for free certainly sells it to me more. I hope it stays alive longer than the first did.
well fuck i had nothing to do today and was debating bf1 vs titanfall 2 but purely for the sake of "fuck EA" guess it'll be titanfall 2 today

Forbes writer wrote a decent ranty blog on why the game deserves better - link
The lack of paid DLC is yet another reason to support Titanfall 2. I hope these projections are incorrect.
That's a pretty good article. Pretty much hits the nail on the head.
Though I wouldn't be surprised if cosmetic microtransactions become a thing, it'd probably fit quite nicely being able to flair up your Titan.
I got an "all-access" code from WarspiritUK, who was one of the top Titanfall players and was giving away codes during his stream of Titanfall 2.
Technically they're "press review" codes that are only valid until the 4th of November but it does mean I get to play the entire singleplayer for free.
Considering I bought BF1 that's pretty win-win for me, especially with how people are praising the campaign.
I hope this game doesn't fail
I've heard good things about it and it seems like it's one of the few games where developers gave a fuck about framerate

i'm pretty sure they just want to try to squeeze TF's IP from them and then give it to dice instead to cut costs. That way they can sit there and sell DLC for exorbitant amounts of money, and pump a new one out all day long.
EA owns the publishing rights, but they do not own the IP.
