Ferocious =/= instinct. The dog, quite likely, didn't even intend to kill the rooster. It probably thought it was playing, much like it did with my cat a few years ago. It simply shook it until, unfortunately, its neck snapped and it went limp. The dog lost interest and wandered off. I'm sorry, but nothing [B][I]NOTHING[/I][/B] could justify what she did. The authorities couldn't have done shit because dogs do this every day. Yes, after the attack ended, there was no longer justification to attack the animal, much in the same way that you can't go after someone after they mug/rob/assault/rape you. You will get into deep shit for that because it's a separate incident all together.
