Contact is the only one I like. The rest are boooooooring.
contact is intense, can't help from turning up the volume higher and higher lmao [editline]13th May 2013[/editline] the end of the song reminded me a shitload of homework, i almost thought they were going to sample themselves which would be amazing
It's definitely meh. I'll just go back to listening to Justice.
Sure. But I've made one comment. I've not posted endless videos (In atleast two daft punk threads) of better posting styles and decided that my posting style is better page after page. I wouldn't even be responding if he didn't ask a question.
Then that's your business, but your posting style isn't automatically better just because you don't post videos of other music in a daft punk thread
Very different from what I expected but it's nice so far. Also jesus the elitism in this thread.
Then that's your business, but your posting style isn't automatically better just because you don't post videos of other music in a daft punk thread
What are you arguing about, exactly? I never said there was any such thing as a posting style and I have no idea why you're bringing this up. PM me if you want to argue about it instead of me and you and everyone else continually thread shitting. [editline]14th May 2013[/editline] Contact is amazingly intense.

the album was a lot better than i expected. shaking the habitual is fantastic since we're talking about it apparently
lovin giorgio by moroder
Gave it a listen ish, ish meaning I sorta didnt finish it. Duno what that says for the album itself, ill give it another run tomorrow.
I really like the lengthened version of Get Lucky. Definitely sounds more complete.
Very groovy and disco-y, albeit not very high-beat... Some songs seem to outlast their welcome, but there are some very solid ones. The album version of Get Lucky is superb, as are Give Life Back to Music, Instant Crush, Fragments and Doin' it Right... and Contact, wow. That last one gave me shivers.
does the organ synth part in contact remind anyone else of derezzed? i think they used a very similar sound in that song
Fucking love it. Lose yourself to dance is amazzzzzing.
This is really decent, not too big a fan of the pointless talking in Giorgio, and the really cheesy lyrics/singing in Touch, otherwise great album.
does the organ synth part in contact remind anyone else of derezzed? i think they used a very similar sound in that song
The beginning part? They sampled that from this: Also early version of contact, both this version and the RAM version had DJ falcon contributing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=MsFfl5-bkDY#t=1470s (no media tags because of time)
I really only like 'Get Lucky' but the youtube mixes are better..
I'm actually kind of disappointed that the 'leak' of Lose Yourself to Dance was fake.
i have no idea how anyone could listen to every song on this album and then say contact is their favorite no idea at all
i have no idea how anyone could listen to every song on this album and then say contact is their favorite no idea at all
Opinions are confusing things.
So far it's about a 5/10 for me but maybe it'l grow on me. I guess for me the best way to describe it is there's bits of the music every now and then I find interesting, but it doesn't suck me in like Homework and Discovery do. Edit: Hasn't grown on me, but a little the opposite, Human After All is better.
The album met my expectations without exceeding them, but that's okay because my expectations were sky high after Get Lucky. I tried to complile a top three of my favorite tracks on the album but I found that I liked so many of the songs that I couldn't. It really is a solid album. My only complaint is the song Doin' it Right, which to me seems out of place (it's repetitive like a Human After All song, but lacks a powerful hook, so it's just annoying to me.) I'd give it 8/10.
Dang, I can't get Grooveshark to play Giorgio by Moroder.
goddamn fragments of time is some swell shit
Holy shit, Lose Yourself To Dance is amazing
Damn, Grooveshark seems to have trouble playing half the songs
