Good, that means it'll be better, as they'll have more time to work on it.
That argument only works for so long before people get tired of waiting.
I'll be expecting Duke Nukem Forever, or Black Mesa Source before I expect Episode 3.
I'm learning about half-lifes in science class right now. Long story short, some can take a few thousand years, such as this one.
It would be interesting if a surprise release appeared, facepunch would be standing on it's head if that happened.

I'm surprised I didn't think of that one myself :v: That's a fucking obvious joke now that you point it out. Although I'd say that the release of episode 3 will be more on the order of the Half-Life of Uranium-238. About 4.468 BILLION years.
Good. Let them take their time perfecting the game. Don't rush a good thing.
Half life 2: Forever. edit: late.
I am waiting for Half Life 3.
I really hope that when it does arrive it won't be 2 hours long :frown:
That's just the screenshot that's been delayed a year.
Hmm. They cranked out L4D2 in the space of a year, and it had more completely new content than EP2 had over EP1, or EP1 had over HL2. Lets face it, guys, Valve done sold out. They don't give a shit about Half-Life anymore.
Gabe is fat. There. OP - change title to "2010 or 2011".
Thats not funny :( [editline]12:43AM[/editline]
It would be interesting if a surprise release appeared, facepunch would be standing on it's head if that happened.
If im ever in charge of the release date of a game, ill just make a fake release date, then postpone it 6 months, then after those 6 months, postpone it a year, then release it a month later.
Half-Life 2: Episode 3 is rapidly becoming the new Duke Nukem Forever...
fucking pessimist! :argh: ... with a hint of realist... :sigh:
Valve will release HL3 before EP3
Not if Deus Ex 3 has to say about it.
valve suck at making games on time, the ammount of money people pump into the steam store, stop taking a huge chunk for yourself and spend it on getting more people in to actually finish the damn games on time.
Q3 2011.
I wonder if valve is working on a new engine, and thats why its taking so long.
Stating the obvious... Dammit Gabe!
At least they're actively working on TF2.
he's too busy here:
yes and so will adrian shepherd
And Barney Calhoun!
Valve has not told anyone anything about Half-Life and will continue to do so. I don't know where GI got their information, but Valve definitely isn't their source.
I'm getting a bit pissed off now. They could have at least finished off the episodes and then left a huge gap before (potentially) working on HL3.
I cant wait another year.
I cant wait another year.
Me neither! perhaps we should... like... get off the computer and do something else instead of waiting for a new half life!
Me neither! perhaps we should... like... get off the computer and do something else instead of waiting for a new half life!
Wait for Team Fortress 3? At the rate things are going, We'll see that before Episode 3. :frown:
What? Episode 3? Fuck, down in Australia we haven't got Episode 1 yet.
What? Episode 3? Fuck, down in Australia we haven't got Episode 1 yet.
Wha... What?
LEFT 4 DEAD: AGAIN 2 EPISODE 3 That's my two-cents.
