it was originally going to be an expansion but now it's incorporated within SR4. You don't know if they planned on keeping that or not.
Jumping into the Saints discussion. I haven't played 1 or 2, starting right on The Third from the THQ Bundle. I thought the game was amazing, and positively loved its customization. I thought it had a very wide variety, and even though I only knew Gat for a little bit, I still loved his character. Wasn't as attached as normal, obviously, but he definitely seemed like a "I don't give a FUCK, I'm Johnny Gat." kind of guy. But if The Third was lacking, I'd love to see what you could do in Saints Row 2. I had an absolute blast with SR3, and look forward to 4.
Y'know what I'd love is if the jump in quality from Saints Row 3 to 4 is like the one from 1 to 2. That's a bit optimistic for a one-year time gap, but I'm still holding out hope. I loved SR3 even if it was lacking; I just hope SR4 can do the franchise justice.
go play 2, and don't give some bullshit excuse like "the port sucks so i'm not even going to try" it's a fucking fantastic game, one of my all time favorites
I'd love to play it but it runs at lightning speed for me.
Didn't SR3 like, just come out a year ago?
they hardly ignored his death having not played the first two games I wished they'd shut the fuck up about him tbh
He's the one who got you into the saints, he's one of the more important people in the games. Of course he has a focus on him.
Been waiting on metro forever.
Saints row 2 is still the best of the three, it hits the nail on the head like GTA:SA did.
Go play Saints Row 2. Like... now.
But the PC version is shit. Nobody should by a console for a game that's not an exclusive.
I never like Saint's Row 2 much. Somehow, when flipped-out fucking around is all the game provides you with it loses its appeal. Going nuts tends to be the most entertaining when it's off-script. And then there were the horrible port issues.
While I loved saints row the third it had a huge issue of being rushed and that is understandable considering the financial problems THQ was going through but I don't want that to happen again. I would much prefer they took another year or so to release SR4 because I don't want it to be rushed again.
they hardly ignored his death having not played the first two games I wished they'd shut the fuck up about him tbh
Just look at this scene, do I even need to explain why Gat is awesome. Also SR3 really could have used scenes like that, it was WAY too wacky, SR2 had a perfect balance.
They seriously think they'll have SR4 ready this year? If that's the case, guys, I really don't think they're going to divert from their plans involving this:
enter the dominatrix was cancelled and is instead going to be 'merged' with SR4 in some way
nvm
enter the dominatrix was cancelled
No, they're making it into Saints Row 4 rather than DLC for The Third. Oh, you edited right after I quoted you. Never mind! :v:
Seriously, they kill Johnny-fuckin'-Gat in the first TEN MINUTES of the game and then pretty much ignore his death throughout.
If the devs like just retconned the shit out of SR4 to put johnny gat back I wouldn't mind like at all.
Just look at this scene, do I even need to explain why Gat is awesome. Also SR3 really could have used scenes like that, it was WAY too wacky, SR2 had a perfect balance.
Easily one of my favorite cut scenes in the game.
I loved saints row 2 and saints row 3, so im happy no matter what direction they want to take this.
This makes me really want to try SR2 now. Can anyone tell me if a modern gaming PC will still have trouble running it? Or is the PC port that bad?
The controls are a bit iffy in minigames and the like, but i didnt really notice other than that
I have a feeling that the PC version will be the same as the previous ones
all of the SR3 DLCs should have been in the main game in the first place. Its like they intentionally stripped the finished product down to only the SP story with a bit of content just to have you buy the rest trough DLC. There was less clothes in SR3 than there was in SR2, that's just bullshit.
I have a feeling that the PC version will be the same as the previous ones
But...saints row 3 pc wasn't a console port.
Oh man Metro is seriously the greatest thing
SR3 was a catastrophe. As its own game sure it would've been decent but it's the worst one out of the three SR games. Seriously, they kill Johnny-fuckin'-Gat in the first TEN MINUTES of the game and then pretty much ignore his death throughout.
I thought it was pretty fantastic I didn't play the older ones and I don't care to though
SR3 was fucking amazing, probably one of the funniest and ridiculous games I've played.
Along with Johnny getting killed so early in the game, i also hated the fact how you killed Phillipe Loren so early as well....it was so sudden and you can barely see him getting crushed, and that was it. I thought he was gonna be the actual main bad guy cuz i thought he was badass...
This makes me really want to try SR2 now. Can anyone tell me if a modern gaming PC will still have trouble running it? I don't know I like how Saints Row has became a giant parody of the gene full of references and pop culture jokes, I mean for fuck sake they even made fun of micheal bay
Saints Row 3 was like it was developed by a team of uneducated children with ADHD. It was horrible. What really pissed me off about it (on top of the lol so funy and random xD) was the fact that there was no sense of progression whatsoever, I started the game and I have unlimited amounts of money, I can upgrade cars and buy weapons and whatnot without doing a single mission, and you started with a plethora of different weapons and seemingly unlimited and disposable ammo.
But...saints row 3 pc wasn't a console port.
Uh, yeah it was. [editline]18th February 2013[/editline] Saw it firsthand actually. Volition develops the 360 version first with developer-grade 360's connected directly to their PC's.
