To be honest, the saints never recover his body- and even if they were supposed to have done so-the content involving his funeral was cut.
this means they could have had a symbolic funeral with an empty coffin.
couple this with the new wacky direction of saints row, and loren's "his body will serve as a warning to all who oppose the syndicate" line-
and we are all set for a mission where you go on some cliché sci-fi quest to recover johnnys frozen corpse in order to make a cyborg johnny. or possibly somthing even more cheesey than that.

So in other words, the Trouble with Clones DLC that already happened?
Got SR3 in a THQ Bundle I think.
I liked SR2, never played SR1, is it like SR2 at all?

And reading from the Saints Row wiki, Scott Phillips said that they decided early on to have Johnny killed off the make the player genuinely hate the Syndicate, although much of the staff did not want it to happen. So that seems to indicate that it had nothing to do with his voice actor not wanting to play the role anymore.

Kinda, its the same general idea but i think people want the real gat back- not just some massive clone.

I saw a VLP of SR1 from beginning to end and it looked atrocious to me. I wouldn't bother.

SR1 was pretty fucking good, although the PC never spoke, just yelled in pain when hurt. Not as good as SR2, not as fleshed out, but still more customizable and fun than SRTT.
