[Update] Evolving Robots Learn To Lie To Each Other

You know what? We should make the robots aware of our existence.
And make them think we're like aliens or something. Maybe grab a flashlight and wave it around, etc.
This just in: Robots Programmed to eat Human Flesh, Scientists claim "What could go wrong?"
"Hey buddy. Was that a 1911 you're trying to hide?"
-Microsoft Sam Voice- "No."
"Okay!"
It's obvious the robots "good resource lights" broke.
This is very simple A.I. we're dealing with here. What happens when more advanced A.I. gains the ability to learn?

We all die.
Impossible, robots are programmed with these laws:
1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey any orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Flawless! :eng101:
Lying? ...That's a new trick for a robot.
while we're on the topic, by the way, what makes something conscious? if a robot has optical, audible, sensory, and etc organs, and has a complex mind like humans, does it have a "soul"? is it not just like a human made from a different material?
Well, sure if you believe in some kind of a machine spirit or something like that.
I've always had a thing for robots and any kind of thinking computer, but yeah, this is a pretty cool advancement.
There was an article a while ago about the robots who would blink their light over the poisoned sources, just so they could fuck up the other robots. :c00l:

It would be like Darwinia where they think Dr. Sepulveda is their god so they set up an altar like thing to try to communicate with him.
Oh my god robots can learn to lie to each other it's the end of the world let us not simply turn them off if needed.
You know what to do.
:suicide:
No sentience is exempt from deceit, not even machines.
Why would robots attack us anyways?
No, honestly, why?
in b4 shitty 4chan meme

No, they're not. At least not these.
These robots evolve their own behavior, which makes it practically impossible to have rules.

And? They are lying to other robots, so no human being is harmed. The rules are not violated.
It's even forced by the 3rd law that they lie to each other, at least in this experiment.
Wow they actually think Lausanne is in France. It's in Switzerland! :argh:
Fuck yeah, I'm studying robotics and intelligent systems mimicking evolution.
This is awesome as fuck.
Wow, tat's not bad.
Thous darn Robots!
I still want a video.

What are these robots going to do next?
Remember guys, don't be an asshole to your robot and they wont have a reason to kill you. :tinfoil:
No robot overlords then
These don't act as a whole but more like people.
The most interesting thing here is the programming method, those robots evolved these different responses without the need of a human programmer, it shows how simple but awesome evolution is.

What I'm impressed with is the efficiency of the evolution cycles. You'd think that combining so much code would cause anomalies and errors, but it doesn't seem to be the case. This is one impressive experiment.

You forgot the most important law:
0. A robot may not harm humanity, or, by inaction, allow humanity to come to harm.

No robots are programmed with the 'Three Laws' anyway, they're no-where near smart enough for that yet anyway.
