I'm glad he's addressing the high-costs of college. Sadly, it won't do me any good, considering it will take at least a year for this to come into effect.

Yeah, do some contracting work in the green zone of <insert next foreign country of aggression> and I could probably pay them off in a year. If I live that long.
But seriously, the economy is shit. I'm just willing to take what I can get, and that's the general consensus among even the most qualified college grads nowadays. Once I get a job lined up, I'll likely be excited to graduate, but at the moment, I'm dreading the thought of getting dumped into the real world.
Shame it doesn't help students now, or recent graduates. A lot of us still have do deal with our 60k+ debts.

Why hasn't similar things occurred in places where the government has subsidized tertiary education heavily?
I swear, it's almost as if firms in the US see government intervention and go 'well fuck being efficient!'
