Replace death sentence with, torture the rest of you life sentence.
It exists, it's called jail.
And I really couldn't care less why they become criminals.
So instead of actually fixing the problem before it happens you're just willing to mop up afterwards?
People are losing so much money, they cant afford proper drive by anymore.
oh my this thread is a riot
Well boo-hoo. I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings Barbie, but you see, part of being a man is telling it like it is. Straight up honesty. And I really couldn't care less why they become criminals.
what you said has nothing to do with "telling it like it is. straight up honesty" and with this post you've basically just admitted that you are giving up this argument (hopefully because you realize how ludicrous what you're saying is, probably not) you didn't actually SAY anything in this post you just danced around JDK's challenge to your previous claim, called him a name, and admitted that you don't care about a major factor in this entire debate whether you've given up or not, you should still probably stop posting
mingusmajor would be an excellent politician
I found that ASP comic from earlier funnily paralleled to this.
mingusmajor would be an excellent politician
Promise not to tell anyone, but I'm a successful populist politician in Austria.
Maybe anti-death penalty advocates would gain more support if they didn't use straw man arguments.
Maybe anti-death penalty advocates would gain more support if they didn't use straw man arguments.
maybe pro-death penalty advocates should do some research and not base their argument on emotions and all the pro-death penalty people in this thread haven't presented one legitimate reason to keep the death penalty. they also all left and gave up after I refuted all of their arguments.
I actually used to support it, and i was very stupid to, then i looked into it and watched some documentaries, they changed my view on that matter completely. Maybe you should do what i did. It is wrong. Also to the people who rated this funny, tell me why you have? You must have a shit heartless sense of humour to find this funny.
This part made me laugh the hardest
Replace death sentence with, torture the rest of you life sentence.
torture is illegal [editline]07:02PM[/editline] This thread makes me sick, how can some of you support giving the state the right to kill another human being
This thread makes me sick, how can some of you support giving the state the right to kill another human being
because they base their decision on emotions (he killed someone? take him out back, torture him, and then decapitate him and stick his head on a pike as a warning to everyone else) instead of taking ten minutes to actually research the death penalty and see what a disgrace it is
maybe pro-death penalty advocates should do some research and not base their argument on emotions and all the pro-death penalty people in this thread haven't presented one legitimate reason to keep the death penalty. they also all left and gave up after I refuted all of their arguments.
I personally have no opinion on the whole death penalty battle because I haven't really researched it for myself. I just notice when reading arguments that those against the death penalty use faulty logic like
ITT: murdering others is okay
Oversimplifying the opponent's position is a fallacy and people do notice that.
Oversimplifying the opponent's position is a fallacy and people do notice that.
How is that oversimplifying? People want to murder murderers, therefore they believe that murder is okay
there will be less guns if you bann them. less criminals will have them . mainly because the price for ammo and guns on the black market WILL be verry expensive.
Okay, that's not how it works. There are laws. Criminals ignore and break laws. Law-abiding citizens are denied rights because criminals did stupid things. I'm talking about gun rights here. A weapons ban would only keep them out of the hands of licensed citizens who use them in self-defense situations. Criminals will have guns no matter what. Not to mention AK47s will always be dirt cheap.
How is that oversimplifying? People want to murder murderers, therefore they believe that murder is okay
They believe that murder is okay when it is against murderers. The belief that "murder is okay" includes all types of murder, from serial killers to innocent old ladies. By omitting the condition "when it is against murderers", you are oversimplifying that person's argument.
They believe that murder is okay when it is against murderers.
which is completely hypocritical still, and that's exactly what my point is it's not an oversimplification at all because my point is still valid
which is completely hypocritical still, and that's exactly what my point is it's not an oversimplification at all because my point is still valid
Just because you believe the claim is not valid due to hypocritical structure doesn't give you any right to then use logical fallacies.
Just because you believe the claim is not valid due to hypocritical structure doesn't give you any right to then use logical fallacies.
except it's not a fallacy. we already explained it. they SUPPORT murdering other people. obviously "others" is referring to murderers. now can you actually present a real argument instead of arguing fallacies?
The death penalty isn't even doing anything, you're just killing another human being. Canada doesn't have the death penalty and crime rates are much lower than that of the US.
except it's not a fallacy. we already explained it. they SUPPORT murdering other people. obviously "others" is referring to murderers.
You don't get it do you? http://www.nizkor.org/features/fallacies/straw-man.html There's a good start. I doubt any number of posts is going to even make you aware of it, so I am not going to waste my time (or fill this thread with anymore semi-off topic posts).
This is fucking terrible, If you murder Children, you deserve the death penalty.
Who the fuck rated funny?
Me. :smug:

And would you not admit the hypocrisy in murdering people for the act of murdering people?
ITT: murdering others is okay
it is if you're a bloodthirsty teen
Must of been a relative of a rival gang member.
This is fucking terrible, If you murder Children, you deserve the death penalty.
murder is murder regardless of the age of the victim and no
I read the title and thought about gunmen like these.
