Hurricane bawbag was 117mph
sorry guys i ate a lot of scotch eggs today, i do apologise if my excessive wind causes a bit of damage
Looks like Southampton is going to get the worst of it, being on the water and in the main zone. I'm ever so slightly more inland than that so I may be alright, we've started selling sandbags at work though.
I hope a tree falls on my piece of shit car so I can get a new one.
Fuckin right in the middle of the red zone. Been nice knowing you, guys!
I'm glad I live in the north. Sadly most of the clients for the company I work for are construction sites in the south so I am sure we're going to be busy next week.
Guys you are like "MWEEH DUN CRY" but we are NOT used to strong winds. Lucky for me I am up north so I am safe. Good luck south, may the Queen be with you.
Back to original point, your houses in strong weather areas are built to withstand them. Our houses are built to be warm, not withstand lots of wind. Shits gonna be intense.
Good luck!

because the hurricanes gave up
thats how sturdy modern florida is.
I like how a ton of Brits take every opportunity to take shots at America but now there's some 80mph wind and all their panties are flying off.
What is it you fucking morons don't understand about extreme weather conditions?
WE DON'T GET WIND LIKE THIS ON A REGULAR BASIS.
THIS KIND OF THING IS UNPRECEDENTED. WE AREN'T USED TO OR PREPARED FOR IT.
fucking hell it's just like winter again where it was cold as fuck and you assholes were like "lol its just kinda brisk"

rip in peace the queen
So what right do you have to talk about our part of the world if we can't talk about yours then? Literally all you have to do is stay in your house - the country isn't going to grind to a halt.
it's hilarious how everyone thinks wind is going to blow down brick and mortar. if anything America would be worse off because of all the wooden houses. Everyone always blows these warnings out of proportion and seems to think it's the start of the apocalypse every time the met office tells us to be careful.
What a perfect day to fly a kite.
Eh, I don't really see how it's newsworthy. If anything it gave me something to do whilst waiting at the bus stop - some of us waiting there would have a guess at how many panels would be left on the bus shelter the following day. Some guessed 3, some 5 but none of us knew the entire bus shelter would be missing the next day.
It's only a bit of rain, just chuck a coat on. You'll be fine.
I live in the Portsmouth, bring it on.

Every year we get tropical storms though, which are close enough usually.
Even then, I remember walking my dogs during Wilma, people really overreact during some of the lower-category hurricanes.

I swear that we've had at least a few cat 1's since 2005.
Yeah I'm pretty lucky. Flying from Copenhagen to Manchester on Tuesday.
Hopefully this forecast doesn't change.
Don't want to fly in terrifying weather or have my flight cancelled.
If this interrupts me getting back to uni, I'll be fucking pissed.
I take the weekend to come home for two days, and we get a severe weather warning that might fuck up the trains.
Will likely just be some nice stiff winds and maybe a hole or two in a roof like the one that happened 15 years ago or so here.
Got someone coming up from Cambridge-way on Monday (to Stafford), via train.
They might not be going home next Sunday at this rate...
Soooo, Southend-on-Sea isn't the place to be right now :suicide:
i live in the far south-west and it's getting pretty windy outside, i can see mist and rain skirting across the roads and oh god i'm going to die
at least i'm on a hill
Good thing I live in Southampton where the coastal winds are fucked to begin with.
plops, i live right in the dangerzone
ITT: everyone in the south posts where they live
tbh, bournemouth is already thundering down with rain.
I'm in the NW so I guess I'm a bit fucked

I've never seen a brit take a shot at American weather.
How many Welsh Facepunch people are there?
We can all find a place to huddle up together
