Oh please don't cry, I live in a city where this is natural thing. Yes, people have rocks on their houses, but nothing terrible happened. Just stay home, if you don't want to be in a windy condition. Fastest recorded hurricane in my city was 171 KM/h (106.254474 mph) It's really pissing me off when I see people cry about 80 mph hurricane incoming to their land. And even that happens rarely. Try to live in my city, here's a true hurricane. Btw, the city is called AjdovÅ¡čina. Google it, if you don't believe me.
No one cares, this is thread for people to bitch and moan about the weather in the UK, it's an enshrined right in the country to moan to each other about the weather.
They closed the seafront road in Portsmouth and the uni closed some of the buildings off for tonight
I'd heard they were closing down the road. The weather was starting to get pretty bad as I left work at 5PM today, the wind is definitely starting to pick up. Also, the BBC keep showing a video of man clearing leaves out of drain. Not sure if that's supposed to be reassuring or what?
I love in the North East but my internet is fucking up. I'm on Virgin, anyone else experiencing this? (XBL very glitchy and YT videos wont load)
I'm on Virgin, anyone else experiencing this? (XBL very glitchy and YT videos wont load)
virgin throttles and also some areas aren't upgraded.
virgin throttles and also some areas aren't upgraded.
My area has been. This is the only time I've ever seen it like this. I can't watch videos like this, and I've left it to load for a while, only about 20 more seconds has actually loaded.
ugh I'm heading down to london tomorrow for a gig. I hope this doesn't fuck anything up.
ugh I'm heading down to london tomorrow for a gig. I hope this doesn't fuck anything up.
Might have difficulty with the trains, depending on what time you're travelling. If you're driving shouldn't effect things too much unless you're actually driving during the storm or something major fucks up.
Well I'm going by coach around 1pm, so i guess it'll be fine
I love in the North East but my internet is fucking up. I'm on Virgin, anyone else experiencing this? (XBL very glitchy and YT videos wont load)
I'm in East Anglia on virgin and it's working fine, can buffer a 1080p video no problems.
ugh I'm heading down to london tomorrow for a gig. I hope this doesn't fuck anything up.
loads of trains going into london are cancelled or changed. http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/service_disruptions/today.aspx Click on the south west trains service one

for the last 5 hours ive been stuck on the train coming home from Comicon in london... so much chaos, their command center went down so they had to divert us etc. etc... thank god im home!
Biking to work tomorrow is going to suck. We're getting the same shit (Netherlands) in the morning, but it should be gone by the evening.
Brilliant, I have to be waiting outside at 6.15 tommorow morning for my bus. Then I have to wait in the street for my manager to open the store.... I fear no storm.
Sweden is getting it tomorrow too. Gotten warnings about possible train problems later during the day. Nice to know i can leave my city in the morning and maybe not get back Already been really windy and rainy during the evening
Its started raining but no wind yet 2 hours till predicted shitstorm I have acquired emergency storm supplies in the form of the sweets I was meaning to give out on halloween.
Just getting rain and a few "minor" gusts of wind down in Kent.
South England is so fucking weird. Heatwaves, droughts, Blizzards and now Hurricanes. For once I'm happy with the weather in Scotland
South England is so fucking weird. Heatwaves, droughts, Blizzards and now Hurricanes. For once I'm happy with the weather in Scotland
Britain as a whole has always had strange weather. It's because of where we are on the planet. Although Scotland is usually pretty consistent, I wouldn't say I'd be happy about it though.
I hate high winds and rain, I'm in England but I have a crazy phobia of hurricanes and such.
I hate high winds and rain, I'm in England but I have a crazy phobia of hurricanes and such.
You live in the wrong country bro.
itt: extreme weather experience arguments this happened before with the Hurricane Sandy and Snow in Britain threads eugh....
Almost 1am, just heavy rain, nothing major yet.
Wind is getting really heavy right now Lighting some candles just in case we get a power cut, we usually do when we get heaps and heaps of rain [editline]28th October 2013[/editline]
Its started raining but no wind yet 2 hours till predicted shitstorm I have acquired emergency storm supplies in the form of the sweets I was meaning to give out on halloween.
I have nothing, Tempted to go and put some chips in the oven and drink the leftover ginger beer I have left in my fridge
Can I borrow some of your weather? I'll promise to bring it back. c:

This is anti-climatic.
Stay safe.
