Advances in genetic sequencing giving rise to a new era of "scientific" racism.

Okay, not quite the right word. But we're only descended from 10,000 individuals - maybe 2000 if you believe some papers. We are not that diverse.
Someone else already beat me to posting one of these videos on the subject, but there are more and I thought I'd leave them here to settle things:

Also has a second part, very informative.

And the second part:

The TL;DR of all this: The notion of "race" in modern genetics is totally meaningless, everyone alive today is descended from all the same group of humans who were alive not too long ago (during recorded history), and lastly, there are better ways to describe the ethnic differences in humans, but these differences have literally no bearing on the political and social status of people.
why has it taken until today for Hitler to appear?
Are you denying that some people don't have better genetic makeups?
Would you not say that someone who has no family history of cancer or heart diseases isn't better off than someone who has genetic diseases in their family? Not to mention subjective things like being tall, handsome, beautiful, etc.
Different groups of humans have different gene pools, there are certainly difference between the races, but the effects of these genetic differences are nothing compared to the differences of environments

Did you not see the user name and creation date for the post he quoted? The guy's name is Hitler and the account was made this month of this year. That's what he was commenting on: somehow Facepunch has existed this long with this many users and no one ever thought to take the name "Hitler".
Personally I hope he turns out to be a great poster (and he doesn't get banned) so that people have no choice but to agree with Hitler :v:
Guys, it's News Corp... don't get your panties in a bunch when their news is mostly mandate driven opinion.
Everyone in MGS has a hard time with genetics but has a brilliant understanding of nanomachines sonehow
As someone who is doing a course in both nanotechnology and physics at uni, and within the nanotechnology course there exists a genetics class which I had to do... nanomachines are waaaay easier to understand.
Is this article implying that races do not exist and that those non-existent races are not different in biology?
Apparently a black skin is biologically the same as a white skin. By this logic I'm going blind.
I fear I cannot read the article any further, for I cannot distinguish the black text from the white background. (I did read the article)
edit:
Science in itself does not decide morality. When science finds the following:
It does not mean to say that African American is a superior race. What is implied by the evidence is shown in the abstract of the article that provides this evidence.
The proper term is black. If all black people are African American, the fuck do you call black people living anywhere else?

I actually didn't see that his name was Hitler.
what the hell research is this?
That sounds really good. It would be a lot more efficient and fun for everyone if particular schools were more tailored to particular people. Not everyone learns the same way.
Sure, there are minor genetic differences between ethnic groups. But in the end we are all human.
There is no point in accusing a certian group for having inferior genes. Because in reality the whole of humanity is a bit of a genetic mess. Genetic perfection aka ze ubermench is nowhere to be found.
Unless you're wearing this suit of course...

and that guy isn't even actually human is he now?
So you're telling me different traits and adaptions developed in different groups of humans as they spread across the globe into a vast range of environments. How is this being racist as much as it is celebrating the awesome and subtle complexity of the human species.
This isn't racism, it's simply quantifying the biological differences of groups of people. Evolution made humans develop in various ways depending on a number of factors. It's what you do with the data that could be racist.
let's just be honest here, the reason most scientists(and everyone with some degree of good judgement) freaks out(with good reason) about these things, is because we have very REAL shitheads, all across the globe that desperately wish to claim you'll actually find difference in intelligence between different groups of human beings, so they can validate their shithead beliefs.
its simple as that, shitheads are why we can't have nice things.
