I love most of Ubisoft's games. Last thing I want to see is them kicking the bucket like THQ did.
People are starting to realize Ubisoft are releasing the same Assassins Creed game over and over again.
Black Flag is by far the freshest Assassins Creed released yet. Opinions can differ on whether it is the best but it's definitely the one that has changed, added, and removed the most since the series began.
Ubisoft aint bad man why they gotta get fucked like this.
Ubisoft is pretty bad imo, I hope sales drop even more so they realize they need to cut the bullshit. Although they have been improving somewhat lately too.

Yes they're not perfect, they've made really fishy decisions in the past, but at least they make good games and are trying to improve.
Anyone rating this winner is an idiot. When sales are down, the development teams get downsized, and people that actually enjoy making games lose their jobs.
The industry needs to change. The enormous budgets and equally enormous sales expectations lead to a situation were AAA publishers try to target the widest audience possible and milk the consumers. I mean I feel sorry for the people who might lose their jobs because of that, but the current situation where you need to sell millions of copies at 60€ isn't sustainable anyway.
Rayman Legends is amazing.
Ouch. I liked AC4 and Blacklist, I got both because of my graphics card purchase. I preordered Watch Dogs as well. I think Ubisoft is a solid company with solid products, hope things go well for them going forward.
Ubisoft is one of the few major publishers nowadays that actually innovates, anyone wanting to see them crash and burn is a complete moron.
Atleast we are finally having Ubisoft threads without people mentioning DRM. Took FP a few years after they removed it from all their games to finally get that memo :v:
Those guys who rated this winner probably never played a ubisoft game besides AC3 or are just going purely off what others say about Ubisoft. Besides U Play shenanigans I dont think they did much wrong.
Honestly I think it would be easier if they got rid of uplay all together and just made good games. I'm certain that would keep them from going under.
Good things about Uplay is it's fast and it's rewarding unlike Steam and Origin.
I just don't like starting a game on steam and having to start uplay through steam to play it; especially when I completely forget about uplay and my login/password :v: but uplay was definitely worse before
Good things about Uplay is it's fast and it's rewarding unlike Steam and Origin.
It just feels unnecessary, if you need to launch two clients to get a fucking game running. Steam has been here since forever, so it's widely accepted, but Ubisoft just think "Oh yeah, we can do the same thing! Look!" It may be fast, but that's due to the lower number of features and games.
Most people in this thread make it out that Ubisoft are on the way out already, they aren't going anywhere anytime soon. I actually to an extent preferred AC3 to AC4 simply because AC4 concentrated too much on pirates and less on the actual assassins stuff. Don't get me wrong I liked AC4 but it went a little too far from what made AC, AC.
Shame. The director from AC4 gave a talk at my university today, and it sounds like the team were very passionate about working on it and making it enjoyable.
Atleast we are finally having Ubisoft threads without people mentioning DRM.
Considering AC right now means "spam counters, kill entire garrisons of troops", I'm glad it didn't focus on it.
I'm playing AC3 now and it seems to me they have done a bit to remedy that by having different enemy types be more frequent. It is definitely more challenging that Revelations which is pretty much what you described. That being said I've always felt that you were supposed to avoid those kind of fights as much as possible. You are playing as assassin. It's kinda like getting on MGS's poor gun mechanics, even though its a stealth game.
Seems like AC4 is the only noteable game they have put out in 2013.
Has everybody forgot about Far Cry 3? That game was stellar, and then they released blood dragon which was pretty great too.
Has everybody forgot about Far Cry 3? That game was stellar, and then they released blood dragon which was pretty great too.
Far Cry 3 was released 2012 not 2013.
