Good, he wouldn't make a good Batman anyway.
Yeah, you're right. He doesn't have the build, he's not the right kind of actor. I mean, it's just unthinkable! Look at his previous movies! I'm gonna say it once and for all, Heath Ledger will not make a good Joker! o wait
Just like when people said Ledger would make a shit Joker. Whoops, funny how that turned out... that being said, I don't approve Affleck as Batman simply because he's already played one superhero.
I hated heath ledger as the joker though. I mean yes his acting was superb, chilling and just plain awesome but it was the depiction of the joker I hated. The joker in TDK was a plain psycho who cared about nothing. The comic joker took extreme pleasure in his killings and was all jovial. Heath Ledgers joker was more dark. Personal preference. It is more the joker character than heath ledger. [editline]22nd January 2014[/editline]
Excuse my ignorance but what's the reason they didnt cast Bale again for the role of Batman?
He thought he "hogged the role" He didn't want to do it basically.
So this is because the script is turning out badly? Wow. I'm surprised that another DC movie is turning out not great. Like no offense but I think everyone can agree they just aren't as good as the marvel movies. Excluding the Nolan ones of course.
Bale did't exactly have the build for it either...
That was for a good film though.
On something more related to the actual subject of this thread, I'm thinking that we're over grimdark superhero movies. I mean, jesus, they managed to suck the fun out of Superman with Man of Steel. And when you look at the Marvel movies, they're doing great because they have elements from modern era and from the Silver Age.
The Avengers movies (and affiliates) are basically just Ultimates with all the whiny angst removed.
Oh my god. Oh my god. Slim, sarcastic Batman? Make it happen. I'd watch the fuck outta it.
That aint Bruce Wayne, it is Terry Mcginnis. So are you saying Ben Affleck should not be Bruce Wayne, and by extension he should not be Batman? Or do you not know that Terry is a completely different character?

Fuck it just make Man of Steel 2 for fucks sake i'd rather they make a Superman trilogy before introducing the full JL anyway. [editline]22nd January 2014[/editline] possibly make: Man of Steel 2 Wonder Woman 1 The Flash 1 Green Lantern ( either remake or introduce John Stewart/Kyle Rayner ) Batman 1 Martian Manhunter 1 or have him play a big role in the JL film ( see the animated series first episode for level of role size he should play ) Superman Batman : Worlds Finest Superman Batman Wonder Woman : Trinity THEN do a JL Film!
Because it's true. He doesn't have the build for it and he doesn't have the attitude for it. He's too sarcastic. Hell, he'd make a better Spiderman or Deadpool, if there weren't already good people for those roles.
I think he'd be a pretty good Dare Devil. Wait...
Because it's true. He doesn't have the build for it and he doesn't have the attitude for it. He's too sarcastic. He has the right build. Oh, and he's a fucking actor, so having any attitude is not a big deal.
You know, all of you are getting pissy with me. It's my opinion, i'm sorry you disagree with it and hey, you may be right and i'm just jumping the gun here, you don't need to get so offended. Also, I thought Heath Ledger would have made a great joker and I was right.

"this actor, a guy that gets paid to play different characters, can't do this role cuz he's too sarcastic" also i don't know where you got that he doesn't have the right build for it

Unless you mean tits, they'll just get a personal trainer most of the time, problem solved.
I personally think that Ben Affleck will make a perfect batman. My only worry is that the script screws him over, and we get terrible film regardless of the actors. Just look at Heath Ledger. No one expected him to pull off the Joker, and what we got was one of the greatest villains in cinematic history.

That's common sense. Also, if you'd watch the cartoons, Batman is a massive guy. Bale plays it well. Again, my opinion, you don't have to agree with it and I don't care either way.
wait, why is this a thing, superman would destroy batman no challenge
wait, why is this a thing, superman would destroy batman no challenge
The title 'Batman vs Superman' won't be the actual title for the movie. It's most definitely not going to be about a war between The Dark Knight and the Man of Steel. [editline]23rd January 2014[/editline] As for Superman destroying Batman with no challenge? That depends on the writer.
I heard it was delayed because Affleck got injured. + Affleck has say on the script, so I don't think he'd have a problem with the script if he's the one help making it.
Your attitude and personality comes through in your characters, if they didn't, every movie would be pretty much the same.
what kind of logic is this seriously i'm trying to come up with a counter argument but i don't even know what you're saying different movies have different characters. you're saying that even though this is true, movies would all be the same if you couldn't recognize actors' traits even in different characters that they've played? what?

Anything else is "performing" and not really acting in a sense. he'd do a fine job. Bale had the physicality for the role but did he do a good job with it? Not really.
He'd be a good Daredevil
Weird how everyone is talking about the "seriousness" of batman. Not every iteration of Batman has the same tone as Bale's Batman. The Dark Knight is a far more serious Batman than most incarnations of him and if you're gonna put him in a superman movie you better hope you make him less serious. Because it's hard to take a movie seriously with superman in it.

He's a darker character ever since the 80's. Honestly, he makes no sense in a really, really campy things like the Adam West batman. I mean that's great for it's own reasons but I wouldn't look at that and go "Wow, what a great presentation of a character and story" which is what you get from the better Batman comics. [editline]22nd January 2014[/editline] it's also not people taking the shit seriously, but I generally enjoy films that have consistent tones across the board and make sense when all put together. For me, I don't get why super hero's would be a highly unserious thing besides the fact it's complete and utter fiction. it still has some ability to have real meaning in some manners.
anyone who says a person hasn't got a build to play a character is stupid, it's called a gym?
anyone who says a person hasn't got a build to play a character is stupid, it's called a gym?
There's a limit. Jason Acuña isn't going to make for a great Batman no matter how much iron he pumps; [t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/87/Jason_Acu%C3%B1a_-_Wee-Man_-_Waterfront_Marriott,_Portland,_Oregon_-_August_15,_2009_-_Full_Body.jpg[/t] But yeah, that's a really extreme example. Affleck could easily get in shape for it.
I honestly don't think this is going to be a good film.
