No I am completely 100% serious, the crocodile is an amazing species being wiped out by irresponsible people endangering their lives with unnatural clothe formations that we don onto our body.

Salt water crocodiles don't generally work like that. They pull you straight down and then they wrap you up in their claws and spin around until you can't hold your breath. Your bones are crushed and you drown very quickly. Then they bring you to a den to eat later.
My friend's cousin lives in the Daintree and her friend got eaten by a crocodile when she was walking to the shops or something (doesn't help that they lived on a crocodile farm).

That dad must feel horrible. They were looking for turtles, either for food or to sell I imagine, so he probably feels guilty for leading her to the river. Then he sees his kid eaten by a wild animal, and being eaten alive by a giant lizard probably isn't the most visually inconspicuous way to die either. I bet he withdraws from his friends and family, it'll probably be a long, long time till he comes out of his shell again.
