Playing doctor: 2nd grader finds used syringe, gives a "flu shot" to a classmate

Where did he get the idea of using a syringe that he found in the trash to play with?
It's like eating trash or making a pool of water next to an electric outlet.
What 7 year-old would agree to a shot?
When I was a 7 year old, I didn't know much about syringes either.
All I knew is that I hated them :ohdear:
Immediately thought of this picture.

I hope neither gets anything serious. :ohdear:
Jesus, the kid is lucky he didn't die right out.
If you use an empty syringe and manage to hit a vein and inject air, the bubble goes straight to the heart and can cause a massive heart attack within seconds.
I was thinking the same thing, I wouldn't want to see a full syringe of air puumped into the neck, good lord. :silent:
Would suck to get aids from such an accident.
When I was 7 years old, I'd play with my dad's medical syringes w/o the needle in the bath tub all the time.
Squirting water out of the big one and the small one was fun, the kind of syringe was this kind:

The injection was probably (sub)cutaneous, with the air bubble being injected into his flesh, and not a vein or artery.
I can't help but think that the kid in the OP was the tf2 doctor when he was little.
I really hope they don't get HIV or hep. Even though this was a fucking stupid mistake, no one deserves to get their life fucked up like that, especially starting at that age. Thankfully, HIV is a fragile virus and can't live outside the human body for very long.
unfortunately, if it was in the actual syringe, there is no air to get to it so it can live for a day or two.
Yeah I know... it's poorly worded :/
also got stuck it. Manuel insisted to his mom that he did not get stuck with it.
Wtf.
Face <== Palm
Would suck if the kid actually injected one of the others.
Sounds like one of the kids wrote the article.
