Are you boys ready to make america great again? :smug:
YOU'RE GOING TO FUCKING DESTROY OUR COUNTRY, in this moment that will affect our history for AGES, just because you're this salty?!

Because you absolutely despite this one woman for simply being crooked, while you allow a man with failed businesses and absolutely ZERO experience in Politics to run our country.
You sir fucking disgust me at the density you hold before me on why you are going to lead this country to ruination.
All great empires die eventually, this is America's turn now. Anyone wanna predict which states are gonna go to which new world power?
And they're playing with my life. They don't care, so I don't care. As far as my own views go, I have as much to lose here as anybody else does. More than most with Trump and his supporters in some ways, since my dad's side of the family is from the Middle East and made up of practicing Shi'ites.
And yeah actually, the French Revolution did end well; the abolition of a useless monarchy and destruction of the old nobility, the spread and common acceptance of Enlightenment idealism and principles, the popularization and acceptance of liberalism and liberal ideology, secularization for France, the rise of Bonaparte, etc. It was a painful but necessary stepping stone for France that ultimately left it better off in the end.
Deposing the king was nice but it led to 50 years of more repressive rule, then 4 years of another republic, and then even more repressive rule
of course the French Revolution was hugely important and had an overall positive influence, im just saying that taking the bloody step is not always necessary, especially while we are seeing a slow leftward lurch in the politics of the young
Re: Trump beating Clinton in the general
No
These are polls taken when 4 candidates were against 2
Trump will win
The only way to top the icing on the crapcake that is this election would be if Gary Johnson managed to get the most votes just from all of the jaded Republicans and Democrats who understandably hate Clinton's and Trump's guts.
[sp]Not happening, likely, but at least he isn't the sludge of humanity like Hillary and Donald are[/sp]
that's not how polling works
also general election polls are useless 8 months out
You know, I kind of understand where you're coming from. It almost makes sense...
But the damage someone as inexperienced and hot-headed as Trump could cause is too great for me to agree with you. If I had a similar choice while voting in my country I would rather someone who isn't completely insane be the president.
The damage is going to come one way or another. Even Clinton's sympathizers admit this; "she's just going to be a president that serves during the gradual decline of the country". It's going to happen. The only question is, will this decline happen sooner rather than later?
I would prefer that it happen now, so we can begin cleaning up sooner rather than later and can start rebuilding. We can enjoy the aftermath clean-up's benefits sooner that way, and we'll be the better for it. Why would you want to postpone something like this? It's like ripping a band-aid off your arm: you can either do it slowly and painfully as you pull your hair, or you can do it quickly and have it be over and done with. It'll hurt for a bit in the latter case, but once it's done, it's done, and that's that.
The present system of things is not working, not the political system, not the socio-economic status quo which the majority of Americans are living with. It needs to change. Why not change it sooner rather than later then?
All great empires die eventually, this is America's turn now. Anyone wanna predict which states are gonna go to which new world power?
Most of New England will join up with Canada, just for stability and their military. Alaska will go to either Canada (if they get to choose) or Russia (if they don't get a choice). California will make itself independent, maybe taking a couple other states along. The Southwest might join up with Mexico, particularly if Texas does. The Deep South will just stay independent, because nobody wants them and they'll immediately fall off the world stage.

are you an idiot
are you one of those psychos who secretly wants a zombie apocalypse because you think anarchy is cool
the fall of nations is not some romantic thing, you and your family could very likely starve or be killed if such a thing were to happen
If even a third of Bernie's supporters switch over to trump, hillary will lose.
Don't you guys have a socalist party? vote that.
In a nation that's still staunchly Anti-Communist, that won't happen. Even if they're not that related, folks will associate the two together so yeah.

Take it from a country that's done the whole declining superpower thing - it's not that bad. America's system suddenly collapsing isn't going to result in some kind of utopia rising from the ashes, it'll just be a shithole for decades.
Bernie supporters willing to switch over to Trump instead of writing in on the ballot. That's a real contradiction in views. :what:
Writing in Bernie on the ballot for presidency is basically voting for Trump. Unfortunately. :/

Somehow I am not even bothered with how Trump presents himself to other countries given that Europe seems also to be in a massive political shift/change In fact, if Trump wins, it will probably give a major boost to nationalist anti-immigration parties in countries across Europe. Which in turn might also put an end to Europe's slow decline given how the last year showed how incompetent and powerless the EU actually is.
And really, if shit is going to hit the fan hard in Europe, which could happen in the next 4-8 years given how the EU seems to be totally unable to defend its borders, I'd rather have Trump as the US President than Hilary ''Angela Merkel is a perfectly good leader'' Clinton. It might get crappy for illegals, but there is a damn good reason why people used to guard borders in the past. And there is nothing wrong with putting your own citizens first, which is something most current leaders seem to forget lately. Especially in the EU, where the higher-ups of the EU in Brussels seem to abhor the idea that the population of the member countries are still wanting to retain their sovereignty and democracy.

good thing the number seems below 10%
berniebros exist but are not common enough to swing Trump into power
Actually I'm in a prime position to be damaged by trump and clinton bullshit. But if bernie doesnt get the nomination i will be completely apathetic to my own and others well being, we need to learn sooner or later
What happens when you have your glorious revolution then, what replaces the 200+ year old system?
Tell me.
What.
Communism? That's funny.
Facism, not on our lives.
Then what?
The real question is, what I should do with my vote.
I support Clinton on some issues, but I dislike her immensely. I'm a registered Democrat who lives in NY, so I can't vote third party.
Hmm.

Bernie hasn't won anything to show for a wrote in will do nothing

Register as an independent and vote for who you want.
Considering we've 8 months until the actual election, I doubt Bernie supporters that are mad right now will still be mad enough to vote for trump when the time comes.

vote for the one you dislike the least

Abstain.
Does anyone know where I can get some non-biased information on the Hillary Benghazi thing? I would like to do some research and I'm having trouble finding reputable sources.
Yeah, she shouldn't have done that, and shouldn't get off scot-free... but four years ago, Sarah Palin got busted using a fucking Yahoo email account for her gubernatorial duties, and the only reason no classified stuff was on there was because she wasn't in a position where she had access to any. Hillary at least used a personal email server, and AFAIK none of the stuff on Hillary was classified when she had it. They were all things that were retroactively classified - and maybe they should have been, but having dealt with all manner of tech-illiterate idiots with far too much power, this isn't even unexpected.
if Republicans retain control of congress then liberal opinions of the email fiasco don't matter.
also they were retroactively classified because they never had the chance to be classified in the first place. information doesn't just go from unclassified to top secret unless that information was missed in the classification process.

But that was then, this is now. That was France, this is the United States. We're not going to have a series of blundering monarchies established decades afterwards, that much is guaranteed at least.
I understand your point, and it's not wrong. We might have the same thing happen here with a series of failed governments and fighting, but then again, we may not. We have world history behind us serving as a teacher and a guide, and if we can learn from it, then we can avoid this issue.
We'd get what we deserved in the end. If we don't want to slip into fighting and failure under that scenario of collapse, then we'd have to work to ensure that such a fate doesn't befall us. It all comes down to what we want for ourselves and what we do to get what we want (and what we need).

Vote for Clinton. Seriously. Dont even let the general election be close for Trump.

It wasn't that bad for you because we took your place and were your ally.
Who's going to take our place if/when we go? The Chinese? The Russians? They will if we can't get our own shit under control and can't rebuild ourselves into not only what we should be and want to be, but what we need to be.

Alaska is heavily conservative and they have their own, albeit small, Alaskan Independence Party. They wouldn't join Canada.
And Texas joining Mexico? :what:
Okay, with the AP call for Ohio, it looks like it's over boys. Especially if that margin holds. Holy fuck that's bad

Well you're still weeks late admitting it but good job rilez welcome back to reality, I knew u could do it
People voting for Trump will also be supporting the logging of American citizens into databases based on religion and race, the opposing of net-neutrality, extension of the Patriot Act, censoring of the internet.
Isn't that some serious red flags, especially for you Americans who value free speech and freedom on the internet. I recall the net-neutrality issue being a huge thing. But apparently it's already been forgotten.
