You were against public works programs lol
that's socialism yo
That's the stupidest oversimplification I've ever seen wow

I suppose you don't understand socialism, then.
I suppose you don't understand socialism, then.
So are you trying to tell me the USA is already socialist, just because we have public works? So that means the USSR was capitalist because the citizens used money to buy things.
I'd also like to take a moment and rewind to the wall construction thing.
Building a wall takes a lot of people. Maintaining a wall doesn't. He needs to do more than just bring jobs back 'for now'. He needs to bring them back permanently.

Yeah, actually, they were capitalists with a controlled market.
I thought you didn't go to college.
I said I never finished before teaching, in VA 4 years IT=AA 8 years=BS
John are you ever going to tell me why Trump should appeal to me in my current situation?
If not, I'll just assume that Trump isn't 'for me' and not vote for him should the opportunity present where my preferred candidate doesn't make the cut.
Sorry if I sound aggressive on that. You just keep painting people who support Sanders with this very large brush which isn't giving me any useful information at all.
Simply: I can't afford health insurance policies which cover what I need at a rate I can afford - so why should I switch to him?
And you want to chastise him for making money and wanting to keep it, how dare he. He is basically part of the evil 1% now because instead of expecting the government to make his life better he took it upon himself to improve his situation.
There is no wealth without Athens. The wealthiest of us thus owe the most to Athens.

You still went to college, then, bro. you have a degree. You're technically a educated worker.
You're technically a educated worker.
I have something like 74 credit hours spread across 5 campuses. I don't have any degree. I'm technically an uneducated worker. As far as my employer's care I'm uneducated. As far as my employer's would care John is educated.
That's the most meaningful distinction that I think could exist.
I did it, even if I lived in my car for a while. Stop being a baby
I did 8:44-12:38 school for 2 years in HS, then 2:30-11 at a retail job to pay for college.
thats fucked up beyond words, man. the fact you think thats an acceptable way to live a life is sad. im sorry youve had it hard, but you have no right to push that on others. sorry, but i dont want my fellow citizens to work themselves to death before 30 just so they can maybe be partially educated and have a *chance* at a job.
[editline]16th March 2016[/editline]
you know ive noticed a trend among trump supporters. they say they love their country and their countrymen, but want their fellow citizens to work themselves to death and waste their life slaving away at a sub-living wage. absolutely disgusting, honestly. i cant respect anyone that wants others to live that way.

The point of living in a society is to rise above the potential of the individual. Imagine if those people who worked four years retail to afford college had started college four years earlier. Instead of incubating for four years in a dead-end job, they could have been studying and thus have contributed more to America during their lives.

its crazy to think of all the production we would gain in 8-10 years if today we allowed all the impoverished uneducated workers that are stuck in the cycle of poverty to go to school. allowing all of those people to flourish and become fully functioning members of society would actually make america great again, which is the most hilarious thing in the world right now. the benefits are innumerable, but because "I DONT WANT TO PAY FOR THEM TO DO WHAT I COULDNT" is a common mentality, we'll keep all of our fellow countrymen stuck in their shitty jobs with no way to improve themselves. literally wasting away the only life they have. its a crying shame that i have to watch the people in my city rot away because of that ideology.
If we cut environmental taxes and such it will most likely become profitable.
I prefer not to have benzene in my water supply thank you.
Emissions are regulated by licenses and regulations not taxes, and we barely cover any atmospheric emissions, it's mainly ground contamination and discharge
Lax environmental regulations are why Oklahoma, a seismically inactive region has surpassed even Japan in terms of earthquake frequency, and scientists are predicting even stopping the fracking NOW, they will have earthquakes for over a decade as things finally settle
I have got to say: Watching Mr. Big shot here brag about how he grew up poor and slept on nothing but rotting floors, and that he now makes nearly 6-figures and has a BMW and is buying a house in his twenties, all the while spending multiple hours on a weekday no less angrily shouting into a void here about why Trump is pretty much the second coming and YOU'RE ALL WRONG!!!...Has to be one of the most entertaining things I've seen in a while.
I'm forwarding his bill once he gets admitted to the hospital for this mental breakdown to Garry.

Apple and other companies like moto attempted to move manufacturing back to america.
it failed.

I forgot who was the one that claimed he slept on a "maggot infested" floor again?
I forgot who was the one that claimed he slept on a "maggot infested" floor again?
That was Johnfisher, of course. You forgot, "having roaches crawl on me," by the way.
You think I got that when I had to deal with growing up on a maggot infested floor, or having roaches crawl on me? please by all means tell me how you lived 1st-9th grade. While you say no one wants to hear it people with similar thoughs, backgrounds, and opinions are voicing the majority. I mean hell I agree no one wants to be me, because I want trump to bring good jobs and stability to our debt in the country.
i love this idea that having a shitty early-life is a rite of passage for johnfisher
but he pulled himself up by his own bootstraps so truly he is the perfect example of why the system works
"The current system is pretty much entirely based on luck, working hard can be useful but it's not a guarantee and there's still plenty of hard-working people who aren't climbing up the social ladder."
"Oh yeah? Well, I worked hard and I was okay, so that must mean it's not based around luck at all!"
The mentality of some Americans is astonishing. How can you be so individualistic?
The mentality of some Americans is astonishing. How can you be so individualistic?
We live in a society that strongly reinforces these values. In part, it stems from our origin as a nation, but I think it was exacerbated heavily by the cold war. Individualism was one of the ways we separated ourselves from the Soviets. Individualism and capitalism are synonymous with freedom to Americans.
Hell John even referred to Sanders as a "commie". The connections are still fairly obvious, unfortunately.
i just realized john fisher has a case of crab mentality. i have absolutely no doubt a large portion of trump supporters also have it, but john fisher has demonstrated that he 100% suffers from this. i feel bad for him, now.

Sounds like something that fits diehard liberals as well.
"If I can't be rich, neither should those people!"

Give it time, they'll show themselves.
Usually when JohnFischer or another Trump supporter pop up their counterparts appear to balance out the natural forces of the forum.

If you think about it, with all these purposefully hindering policies he wants to implement, you'd think that Trump supporters were all about a few people getting rich and removing the possibility from the rest.
The mentality of some Americans is astonishing. How can you be so individualistic?
Because we don't like to be told what the fuck to do. We want to stand out, we want to be different.
Humans are social animals. If we don't care for one another our societies disintegrate. We are also hierarchical so the best we can hope for is that the dominant ones will encourage love, co-operation and mutual help and not the strong feeding off the weak.
If I remember correctly there was a chap called Jesus of Nazareth who advocated something along those lines.
Because we don't like to be told what the fuck to do. We want to stand out, we want to be different.
what appears to you as independence and strength of self, appears to others as selfishness
