There's benefits to bernie losing. More people will start to believe that there is something that is broken that deserves to be fixed.
if only that were true [editline]15th March 2016[/editline]
Just voted in my District in NC. So many old people! Got a photo with a Judge candidate. Cool shit. Alos if you're in NC and have been turned away for not having an ID, or know someone who has been turned away call this number: 866-OUR-VOTE or 866-687-8683 and some non-partisan lawyers will assist in making sure you can vote (because laws allow provisional ballot voting as long as you sign some form or something so they can't actually turn you away).
GUYS PLS READ THIS IM AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE SO YOU HAVE TO DO WHAT I SAY
There's benefits to bernie losing. More people will start to believe that there is something that is broken that deserves to be fixed.
The "elites" of society divide us into little boxes, and most people don't care enough to look outside their own box, instead they just toss words.
There's benefits to bernie losing. More people will start to believe that there is something that is broken that deserves to be fixed.
I think the realization that the system is broken will just lead to very low turnout in the future, leaving future establishment puppets like Clinton to get the nomination every year. Sucks the DNC would rather lose the general with Hillary than win with Bernie.
He's absolutely not. He emphasizes coalition efforts to take the lead in foreign affairs, drawing back US military presence overseas, and more diplomacy. I think that none of these things are good for our country
"I think the US going to war more often is better for America than solving things peacefully and not needlessly spending American lives"
Exit polls should be coming out soon
Theirs a time for violence and a time for talks, automatically defaulting to one option is bad
He's absolutely not. He emphasizes coalition efforts to take the lead in foreign affairs, drawing back US military presence overseas, and more diplomacy. I think that none of these things are good for our country
What earthly fucking interest does the US have in Mesopotamia?
People are tweeting that exit poll data shows Bernie up 65-35 in the Hispanic vote in Illinois
ded
People are tweeting that exit poll data shows Bernie up 65-35 in the Hispanic vote in Illinois
I wish polls like this gave more detail. Okay, he's got the Hispanic vote. How much of the general vote is that? If it's only 5% of the whole state then who cares?
I wish polls like this gave more detail. Okay, he's got the Hispanic vote. How much of the general vote is that?
16% of state population, 5th most Hispanic populated state. Chicago specifically is like 30% Hispanic or something?
Something like that yea. It's significant
What earthly fucking interest does the US have in Mesopotamia?
Because America imports 2,000% of its oil from there and once Israel conquers it all the Second Coming will happen so Jesus can bless the United States as the holiest of holy nations.
Because America imports 2,000% of its oil from there and once Israel conquers it all the Second Coming will happen so Jesus can bless the United States as the holiest of holy nations.
That's silly, you can't have more than 100% of oil import i wanna see your sources, MLA format please.
Because America imports 2,000% of its oil from there and once Israel conquers it all the Second Coming will happen so Jesus can bless the United States as the holiest of holy nations.
US gets most of its oil from canada http://www.eia.gov/tools/faqs/faq.cfm?id=727&t=6

How is that not significant? You bernie "realists" are just as terrible as the bernie lovers who hold him up as a god.

His main voterbase is white, unfortunately, even though he's pretty much always been the single most progressive Senator when it comes to racial equality in the senate.
if only that were true
This election will be perceived as one of the worst elections in modern US History assuming the worst happens (Hillary vs Trump) - You have people learning about Superdelegates (Though to be fair Hillary is already taking everything) - You have people learning about Super-Pacs and how bullshit they are (but no one seems to care) - You have a candidate who may or may not be convicted of a felony running for president who changes her position excessively and generally mislead the public (PROGRESSIVE DOESN'T MEAN "OH YEAH I BELIEVE IN PROGRESS") who is the most likely to be nominated. - You have a candidate who is a reality tv star (who is conveniently living off of Ronald Reagan), spews worrying dialogue, refuses to talk about actual policy (except healthcare which apparently is worse than Obamacare), focuses on anger and hate, and insults everyone with high school insults. He's a living, walking, breathing, talking meme. Oh, he's the most likely to be nominated unless the GOP says "FUCK EVERYTHING" and gives it to Ted Cruz. Maybe I'm underestimating the willingness of Americans to actually do something, or maybe i'm overestimating the amount of anger people have towards this election. This election seems like it would make a lot of people who normally just bitch and whine on forums to go out and do something about it. I pray that the voter turnout for the general election is over 50%. If it's less than 35% then fuck you America.
US gets most of its oil from canada http://www.eia.gov/tools/faqs/faq.cfm?id=727&t=6
This is in 2014, when oil sands were viable.
Right try using diplomacy with Putin and ISIS. see how far that'll get you
Putin isn't a retard, he doesn't want a confrontation with the US and NATO because he knows he would lose. He's already feeling the pressure from the sanctions, some hardcore diplomatic pressure right now would go a long way. And with ISIS, again it's the emotional side of your brain talking. "They're terries they can't be reasoned with." I pray that the voter turnout for the general election is over 50%. If it's less than 35% then fuck you America.
I don't know if we're to that point yet, but we're definitely getting there. It's been a long time coming; we saw the prelude back during and just after the Great Recession when Occupy Wall Street popped up on the left-wing side of things and when the Tea Party popped up on the right-wing side of things. There's been a lot of discontent on both sides of the spectrum for a while now, and the majority of Americans are fed up-- both with the politics of this country and the pitiful economic state we're in. We have not recovered from the recession, despite what people say. Not in terms of unemployment, not in terms of job creation, prospects for college graduates are still bleak, etc. This is all coming to a head, and we can see it not only within the aforementioned context of recent historical events and movements which have arisen, but also in this election's current situation. We've got Donald Trump running for the Republicans as a right-wing populist assclown who centers much of his campaign around xenophobia and reactionary claims, Sanders running for the Democrats as a self-professed democratic socialist with big plans to create a political revolution that will tear down the old system and will bring with it massive socio-economic reforms and benefits, and then we've got Clinton for the Democrats running as a corrupt status-quo so-called "liberal" who just kind of blows whichever way the wind takes her/whichever way she thinks will get her the most support from her constituents and donors. We need the student loan bubble to burst. It's at around $1.2 trillion currently, and if it were to go, then we'd be hurled into another recession-- if not a full-on depression. A financial catastrophe of that scale I think would hurt people so badly that they'd be desperate enough to try and take matters into their own hands. Desperation is always what's needed for the most sweeping of political revolutions to take place. Put people down for long enough, make them desperate and insecure, take away a lot of things that make life worth living to them... and after a while they feel they've got nothing left to lose, they understand the current setup of things is not working for them, and then they eventually decide to do something about it. None of us actually know where things are headed, but the future is certainly going to be interesting at the rate things are going. They have interesting for several years now. Something is coming.
