They declare war even without help? WOW. Fucking rambo. :v:
I have been foreseeing this for years, Putin is trying to reform the soviet union.
Isn't that suicide?
If Russia doesn't let up, they won't have a choice. I mean it's pretty fucking clear that Georgia is under heavy attack, people are dying.
Population Georgia = 4,630,841 Russia = 142,008,838
Over here, CNN would rather talk about the John Edwards sex scandal... probably a smarter choice to garner more viewers, as I think the majority of Americans don't care about this.
Maybe they expect the US to do something about it, considering we're allies. Or maybe this is just a hold-our-ground effort to assert themselves. Hell, least we can do is send em anti-air systems or something.
If Russia doesn't let up, they won't have a choice. I mean it's pretty fucking clear that Georgia is under heavy attack, people are dying.
1500 and counting...
Prove this. Why would they to invade a tiny country like Georgia?
http://www.eurasianet.org/departments/insight/articles/080808.shtml
Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, in Beijing to attend the opening of the Olympic Games, vowed that Russia would retaliate. With Russia’s support, South Ossetia broke free of Tbilisi’s authority in 1992 following a brief conflict. Since then, Moscow has granted Russian citizenship to a large number of Ossetians, despite the fact that the United Nations has always recognized Georgia’s territorial integrity.

I have been foreseeing this for years, Putin is trying to reform the soviet union.
How is attacking someone who attacked your allies, reforming the Soviet union?
I have been foreseeing this for years, Putin is trying to reform the soviet union.
Learn about what you're talking about before you say that.
I got this http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/europe/08/08/georgia.ossetia/index.html But it's just about cross-border bombings, not Russkies pouring over the boarder. Edit: I'm waiting till tomorrow, something tells me even bigger news will come tomorrow.
Hopefully not: Protip: skip to :42
Over here, CNN would rather talk about the John Edwards sex scandal... probably a smarter choice to garner more viewers, as I think the majority of Americans don't care about this.
Probably a sign that the US ins't getting involved in this? :raise:
Are you saying that Russia can't allow people citizenship? The people attacked were allies and Russia can attack Georgia.
I doubt your answer would be the same if we were discussing a State. "The people the US attacked were allies! NATO has the right to invade and march their troops on Washington!"
I have been foreseeing this for years, Putin is trying to reform the soviet union.
Putin? Putin is NOT president anymore.
Probably a sign that the US ins't getting involved in this? :raise:
More like a sign that unless it involves some kind of political suicide, the US citizens don't care.
Learn about what you're talking about before you say that.
I know what I am talking about, it is Putin's secret agenda to use this Georgian rebel conflict to use as an excuse to take over Georgia and eventually reform the soviet union.
Fuck, Russia is just steam rolling through Georgia.
Putin? Putin is NOT president anymore.
I thought he was president for life?
Putin? Putin is NOT president anymore.
he is, however, Prime Minister and has considerable power in the government
I know what I am talking about, it is Putin's secret agenda to use this Georgian rebel conflict to use as an excuse to take over Georgia and eventually reform the soviet union.
What're you? Some kind of troll? Or do you like the :weed:?
REQUIRED READING: South Osseita is not ruled by Georgia, it is simply inside the nation of Georgia. After Georgia on several accounts attacked Russian civilians in the South Osseita region Russia moved into the region to evacuate civilians(NOT INTO GEORGIA). Georgia continued its attacks so Russia laid the smack down and fucked Georgia's shit up. The Georgian 'president' came whining to CNN about the land hungry ruskies who pick on smaller countries. The Georgian president also asked for NON-MILITARY aid from the US and withdrawal of Georgian troops in Iraq by US airlift. Russia is bombing the fuck out of Georgia but has not used land forces to rape Georgia. Interesting tidbits: The US President talked to Putin at the Olympic games. Georgia is not in NATO and thus America is not forced to use military force against Russia. The US has been training Georgian troops for Iraq(AKA this isn't going to be so easy for Russia), and thus America has two thousand? people in Georgia.
Maybe they expect the US to do something about it, considering we're allies. Or maybe this is just a hold-our-ground effort to assert themselves. Hell, least we can do is send em anti-air systems or something.
Georgia wants us to help them transport their troops from Iraq to Georgia, nothing about fighting though. At least I don't think.
South Ossetia is part of Russia now, that's a given. I wonder if they will claim the rest of Georgia though.
I doubt your answer would be the same if we were discussing a State. "The people the US attacked were allies! NATO has the right to invade and march their troops on Washington!"
My answer would be the same. If anyone attacks unprovoked they should be bitch slapped.
What're you? Some kind of troll? Or do you like the :weed:?
I'm a conspiracy theorist.:ninja:
I doubt your answer would be the same if we were discussing a State. "The people the US attacked were allies! NATO has the right to invade and march their troops on Washington!"
Georgia was killing innocent people, russians, even people from their on country that lived there. They insult Russia and also killed some of their soldiers. Is there a reason NOT to attack Georgia?
Is it just me, or does it seem like the Georgians seems to be acting a little odd. A) threats of war when they can't possibly win B) Saakashvilli seems to be a little feisty toward a country within bombing range of his capital. What if they're planning something?
I thought he was president for life?
What? That never happens in any country.I guess only kings and queens got it for life. Now it is Medvedev(translation=Bear).
Putin? Putin is NOT president anymore.
Medvedev is Putin's meat puppet.
Georgia wants us to help them transport their troops from Iraq to Georgia, nothing about fighting though. At least I don't think.
This'll be potentially very interesting considering Russia has air superiority in Georgia. Wonder what their ROE is when it comes to US planes carrying Georgian personnel.
