What are you talking about, The Georgians have been getting Western equipment, and American Training for the pass 3 years.
Most of the pictures are showing them using older Kalashnikovs and cold war APCs. As well as outdated Soviet tanks. They've got training, but a lack of modern equipment, they'll get wasted if this continues.

I don't think this will end well for Georgia. Edit: I'm off to bed, I'll check on this stuff in the morning when I can think clearly / without being batshit tired.
You gotta hand it to these Georgian Soldiers, they have big balls. To know your odds and what your up against and not back down.
Demonstrates what they are fighting for.
My father's view on it: "Well imagine if you bought a shitload of cool guns and never got to shoot anything."
I knew that picture was from Reuters the moment I saw that women in a "Oh my god! How could this happen to us?" pose. Which they are famous for taking, even posing.
REMEMBER KIDS THE TANKS WITH THE BLACK LICENSE PLATES ARE GEORGIAN, AND THE SOLDIERS WEARING DIGITAL CAMO ARE ALSO GEORGIAN

Edit: I'm off to bed, I'll check on this stuff in the morning when I can think clearly / without being batshit tired.
Actually, Russia is closer to being outgunned/out experienced. And seeing as nearly everyone in the entire world is backing Georgia Russia is outgunned in a way.
awesome, I was watching a episode of Mythbusters right now, and it was about chopping heads of with fans :v:
Breaking news: Georgian forces shot down a russian jet and captured the pilot.
Breaking news: Georgian forces shoot down a russian jet and captured the pilot.
The Georgians have shot down quite a few planes already.
Actually, Russia is closer to being outgunned/out experienced. And seeing as nearly everyone in the entire world is backing Georgia Russia is outgunned in a way.
Yes, but if any of those countries were to actually aid Georgia with military force, it would most likely cause the conflict to escalate, which isn't what anyone wants.
The Georgians have shot down quite a few planes already.
But didn't capture anyone. Perhaps a method to try and defeat Russia?
United States - After the GMT 4:00 8 August UN Security Council meeting, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Daniel Fried said that it appeared that the South Ossetians were the provokers of the violence. Fried said, "We have urged the Russians to urge their South Ossetian friends to pull back and show greater restraint. And we believe that the Russians ... are trying to do just that." White House spokesman Gordon Johndroe said on 8 August, "All sides should bring an immediate end to the violence and engage in direct talks to resolve this matter peacefully." Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice later stated: "We call on Russia to cease attacks on Georgia by aircraft and missiles, respect Georgia's territorial integrity, and withdraw its ground combat forces from Georgian soil."
:raise:
Yes, but if any of those countries were to actually aid Georgia with military force, it would most likely cause the conflict to escalate, which isn't what anyone wants.
But they'll continue to send food, medicine, and possibly weapons/ammo. War has overtook baseball as Americas past time.
Wonderful how the news only show like 3 minutes about the war move on to the next news when thousands of people already died.
I was watching news yesterday about this, and I thought: "What the fuck?"
:raise:
That's just a fancy way to say that "We don't want to piss off either of you, so we'll blame someone who we could give two shits about".
Mail on Sunday puts the death tally at around 1500.
phew, that was a lot of reading. I leave for a few hours and there are nearly 20 new pages. :uhoh:
Russia wants peace with Georgia, but Georgia doesn't. Russia moves 150 tanks to Georgia's capital, and if Georgia will continue to kill Russian's peacekeepers, country named Georgia will stop exist.
Russia's claiming control of Tskhinvali. http://www.reuters.com/article/newsOne/idUSL768040420080809
Russia wants peace with Georgia, but Georgia doesn't. Russia moves 150 tanks to Georgia's capital, and if Georgia will continue to kill Russian's peacekeepers, country named Georgia will stop exist.
Peacekeepers? Russia? This is madness!
I still wonder why the Georgian president declared war with Russia. Go to sky news a guy on the phone is there and you can hear the guns firing through his cellphone.
Peacekeepers? Russia? This is madness!
Well read the Russian news. Edit: Peacekeepers? America ? This is madness!
Imagine what must be going through the poor georgian troops heads right now! They are completely alone against fucking RUSSIA. But I like how they are sticking up for themselves, even if it was a damn stupid move.
I feel sorry for the people that lived in S. Ossetia and people that are getting killed in Georgia because of the damn Georgian president... :(
PROTIP: Don't fuck with Russia's freinds Edit: God damn, Russia needs to pull a Kabul '79 on Tbilisi
I just waked up - readed what you posted here guys, :) Russia Today is goood resourse because it REALLY the one who shows what we seen in channles. And about Russians attackin or invading Georgia. Videos of big tanks is outdated - it shows Russian tankg crossing borders of South osetia, not Georgia. Two russian planes beighn destroyed in sky of South osetia - no survived pilots. Soo again, all our forces are in south osetia NOT in Georgia.Soo shut up West channels.
