I wish people would stop trying to find the better side to this conflict.
There is no good side to people being killed.
Georgia only officially declared war a couple hours ago, somewhere around 10:00 UTC (I Think)
News :argh:
They declared a state of war (unofficial) yesterday.
Yeah, I don't know exactly what the differences between State of war And Declaring war on a country are, other than Martial Law is in effect for one

True but finding who's right or wrong is not.
Or is it the same? :raise:
Explain to me why you think these LAND ROVERS, with GEORGIAN LICENSE PLATES, were Russian?

Because none of "local resident" would say hello to Georgian. He would get shot. All local residents was hiding, afraid being killed.
Or maybe oldman just lost his mind. :)

This war would make a great ArmA mod.
This war would make a great ArmA mod.
It'd just be OPFOR vs OPFOR.
Except one OPFOR would be outnumbered about a hundred to one and have T72s.
Russian citizens in Georgia is now not allow to go home to russia.
Wow, Georgia, stop giving russia more reasons to invade you!

Except one would be trained and supplied by the US military for the past 10 years, and the other would have a few hundred thousand soldiers armed with slightly out-dated tech.

The russians have better equipment than the georgians in many areas and they certainly have vastly more of everything.
So I don't think that's going to make much difference.
>>Breaking news<<
(CNN)U.S. accuses Russia of trying to overthrow Georgian government.
In a crackling exchange of a type rarely seen since the end of the Cold War, Khalilzad asked Russian Ambassador Vitaly Churkin whether the Russians were seeking "regime change" in Georgia with the military operation they launched Friday. In response, Churkin objected to the disclosure of a confidential phone call between top diplomats and shot back that "regime change" was "an American expression."
ZING

You've brought this up before, but I'm not sure. Your only source is one evaluation by someone on telegraph.co.uk
In addition to that, a lengthy search on google and the georgian military wikipedia page have only provided me with the GTEP and the
the GSSO. Both of which have not trained the entire army (unless the entire army is 6 battalions :v:)
I'm not saying that you're wrong, but I'm unsure if the whole army being trained is true.
This would seem like a good opportunity for the Russians to show off their FOAB.

A slightly outdated main force doesn't mean shit when you've got 1000+ more tanks and planes than your opponent, as well as more advanced tech in lesser numbers.

Exactly, and having your whole fucking air force destroyed in a hour doesn't help ether.

Next time, read the thread before making a complete fool of yourself.
I'm gonna take offence to dark dragons statement in two tiny ways.
He said England. He should've said the UK, I'm scottish and find this angering.
2. He capitalised America and not England like it's not important.
THAT MOTHER FUCKER.

You, sir, have confused me. Separate thoughts belong in separate sentences.
IMO: Don't fuck with me and I won't fuck with you. I don't want my country fighting two wars, but if they call us out for this I wouldn't mind nuking all of Georgia. (It would be too much of an inconvenience to actually fight there.)

Most of the Russian nukes are in horrid disrepair, most of the nukes wouldn't work even if they wanted to use them.
Most of the Russian nukes are in horrid disrepair, most of the nukes wouldn't work even if they wanted to use them.
They still have enough functional nukes to level a great many countries, i'd bet.
They only have 250 tanks :rolleye:
Russia has over twenty thousand tanks.
But Russia has only 3 people. Are they Mammoth Tanks?
Wow, I should have really read this topic when it was first created. I saw it when it had like two posts but couldn't be bothered reading the article so didn't post... and now 60 pages :|
Can someone bring me up to speed in like... a sentence (Maybe slightly longer than need be)? Have things escalated very much since the OP?
Georgia became friends with the cool crowd and thought they would back them up if they picked on the retarded kid.

Oh... okay. That analogy really didn't make things easier.
Anyhow, I've always known that some serious shit was going to go down with Russia at the centre of it. I think this is just the start, those blasted Russians are up to something I tells ya! :argh:
