I could post a map with Russia, Georgia, and America labeled but somehow I doubt that would be enough to drill it into your head that China has no interest in going to war with it's biggest consumer.
Maybe they would help America instead?
All this while the olympics are going on. Humans.
If America helped Georiga against the Russians, I doubt China would sit back and watch. (I don't think America is going to do anything but if they do help Georgia, a lot of other people are going to get involed)(misspell?)
Sounds like world in conflict or something. USA helped NATO, China helped Russia.
Why would China even want in on this, their country is barely held together by a soon to be facist government. I'm sure China would rather ignore it's massive environmental concerns while attempting to hold back the price of gas with government legislate, than to join a war that it has no reason to be in. Russia is sailing alone in this war, and there's a storm rising in the west. Also, America just whooped China's ass in B-ball.
Most countries (Including Russia) don't allow reporters in the battlefield. You'll be arrested or more commonly, shot.
Russia wouldn't dare shoot American (Or any powerful NATO countries) reporters, at least not at this time. However any other reporters are free game.
Yo it's gonna get serious.
OK i got to go sleep - lets hope the gunfight is over and Good will beat Evil and rapidly penetrate it with knife!
Gross.
All this while the olympics are going on. Humans.
Perfect diversion!
Serious question here guys, my friend is in Russia, and he's a US citizen, if this gets to a state of war, would he be fucked?
Isn't it already to a state of war?
Isn't it already to a state of war?
I think he means with Russia and the US. If that happened I'd say it'd be quite possible.
Serious question here guys, my friend is in Russia, and he's a US citizen, if this gets to a state of war, would he be fucked?
Technically under the Geneva Convention, he will just be deported, but it seems that a lot of countries tend to not give a shit about it.
Still waiting for evidence of Russia bombing a American outpost...
Still waiting for evidence of Russia bombing a American outpost...
As am I. Apparently they did it as "Breaking News" and haven't went anywhere with it. If this turns out to be bullshit Fox will get a very angry e-mail. I know there are US Troops in Georgia though that are training soldiers so the possibility of this is very real.
Here's the Russian ambassador to the UN saying "Regime change is an American expression".
They JUST posted this up but it doesn't seem to have anything about the base being bombed. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,401043,00.html
Dude, it's probably a miss-report. Besides, it's :foxnews:.
That's actually exactly why I didn't make a thread for this. I figured 50/50 that it was over exaggerated bullshit. Still, as I said, it's still possible as they haven't said the report was wrong yet.
Apparently, here's some pictures from Tshinvali. http://drugoi.livejournal.com/2693103.html Looks like the Georgian and Russian bombings and invasions hit it pretty hard.
Apparently, here's some pictures from Tshinvali. http://drugoi.livejournal.com/2693103.html Looks like the Georgian and Russian bombings and invasions hit it pretty hard.
Yea, they have been bombing both military and non-military targets with unguided munitions so it's pretty bad for the civilians. The part that's getting bad now is Georgia has pulled out yet the bombing continues.
Again, as I said. It's on the news but not online yet. I'll get it posted soon as possible.
Dumb Question. But if it is true, holy fucking shit.
"Faux"(Foe) News... :raise:
Bump, thread dying. Needs more new news.
Need updates on the supposed bombing of a US base. I'd better see some when I wake up.
Need updates on the supposed bombing of a US base. I'd better see some when I wake up.
I hope this isn't true. Oh Jesus.
According to TIME, Russia is ready to negotiate.
UNITED NATIONS (AP) — Russia declared itself ready to make peace with Georgia and U.N. officials confirmed Sunday that Georgia is prepared to negotiate with Russia by withdrawing troops from the breakaway province of South Ossetia and creating a safe travel zone.
http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1831215,00.html
Russia just wanted the Georgians to get the fuck out of South Ossetia.
