I remember reading a story on the BBC website of 4 Royal Marines who were pinned down by 200+ Taliban, and still won. And don't go saying something like, "They're Taliban, it's not that hard". From all interviews etc I've read and watched, the Taliban have always been described as a strong fighting force.
So yes, "300" scenarios can happen.
This.
In fact, there are quite a few scenarios where it has happened, the battle of Mogadishu, the story behind Bravo Two Zero.
A handful of determined, skilled men, can really wreck some shit up, even nowadays.
Somehow i find it fitting that if the US joins the georgian course, this movie should be watched...

The Taliban didn't have armor or air support now did they.
Russians are a lot different than backwater terrorist groups.

I really don't see 4 guys carrying enough ammo to fight off 200 Taliban. They had to have been calling in air and artillery support. A 300 type scenario took place in 93' in Somalia too when the 2 snipers killed 130 men trying to save the crew of the downed helicopter. What I was getting at is a couple hundred standard Georgian troops can't fight a few thousand Russians.
At this point I don't trust either one of them.
Not being racist or trying to offend anyone but you can't trust anyone from that region. Ever since the USSR collapsed it's been a shithole of lies and war.
I think you mean any Government or Media from that region.
Breaking News
Russian Defence Ministry Denies Troops Entered Georgian Port of Poti
So Russia just entered Poti, i see. Why is it everytime russia denies anything, it actually does it?
Bush is gonna give a speech about this in like 15 min.
Let's see if he says anything significant.

I think a more appropriate question would be why is it every time Russia does something [bad], they deny it?

Yeah, I know. I have no doubt that Georgia is fucked. I was just disproving... can't remember his name.
I wonder how much your average FP'er would enjoy a war if it was in his own country?
a lot of people seem concerned that this will start WWIII but i think they also fail to realize that a war almost exactly the same as this one happened in the early nineties and nobody remembers.

Bush nicknamed Putin "Pootie-Poot"

Ireland, The Troubles.
If I was born I wouldn't have enjoyed that one bit.
Hahaha Pootie Poot.
Sort of adds a childish visage to a man who is has a lot darker history.

Not if American bases in Georgia are attacked.

They got Air support at the very last minute. But they fought off the Taliban for 4 hours before an Apache showed up
