Ooops sorry for that. I didn't know it.
Okay so I've been searching around on youtube and such about the conflict. Apparently Russia has a doctrine that states that they will use tactical nuclear weapons against the U.S. if we use conventional weapons. And I read on a description of a video about the U.S. sending a fleet into the Black Sea.
I also read about a nuclear missile and some conventional missiles being deployed inside South Ossetia by the Russians.
A few things you might find interesting to read:

An older incident(i know fox news)

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/georgia/2539171/Georgia-Russia-says-South-Ossetia-offensive-nearing-completion.html
It really sounds to me like Russia isn't going to stop. What a stupid thing. USA, EU, and NATO will be crawling up their asses soon enough.
I don't see why Russia keeps threatening with using nuclear weapons. Cold War scare tactics don't work anymore. Using even tactical nuclear weapons will assure the complete destruction of Russia.

I'm leaving this thread because it pointless to speak with you guys. You have your opinion, i have my information. See ya!
You have propaganda, You don't look at facts, you just say things to say them, you speak your opinion and then press them as if they are facts you got from 4 or 5 news sources, it's annoying
To the post above me: I highly doubt Russia will use Nuclear weapons at all, let alone against the US, If they do It's poor Europe that's going to suffer from it :( I bet half of their nukes don't work either, I don't know why but I'd put money on it
If they do It's poor Europe that's going to suffer from it :( I bet half of their nukes don't work either, I don't know why but I'd put money on it
And why would half of our nukes not work? Do you think we Europeans have primitive and malfunctioning technology or something?
Ok now, does anyone remember reading about a Unites States missile shield along the border of Russia? Well if Georgia becomes a part of NATO, the Unites States would place interceptor missile inside Georgia, crippling Russia's ability to launch nuclear missiles.
"There is no doubt that elements of the U.S. missile shield will be placed in Georgia and Ukraine immediately after they join NATO," the analyst said, adding that Ukraine already had radars [in Mukachevo and Sevastopol] that may be used against Russia.
"The U.S. wants to create an impenetrable shield capable of intercepting and destroying Russian nuclear missiles on launch pads, in the initial trajectory, in orbit and on the final trajectory,"
This also gives Russia a better reason to attack Ukraine. What better way to anger Ukraine then to place Russia's navy just outside it's borders inside the black sea?

Definitely deserves a reading.

Half of Russia's Nukes probably don't work*** There. And yes, The Russian's do.

If Russia used nukes they would be wiped out so fast they wouldn't have time to say sorry.
Also, Russia is just following through what it said it would do.
"He suggested that Russia should threaten to sever all relations with NATO if the U.S. missile shield is eventually placed in Europe."

:argh:
Oh :D I thought he was talking about British ones, French ones, etc. Yes, I do think some of the Russian warheads may have somewhat decayed since the fall of the Soviet Union. However, I'm sure there are more than enough to wreak havoc in case of nuclear war...
Russia has something up their sleeve...they had to have planned the attacks. You can't send brigades into Georgia on such short notice unless you already have the brigades amassed and ready to go.

I'd definitely say that the warheads themselves would be just fine, It's whatever Ride they have to get to their Destination, Wonder how reliable the missiles they are in really are, and I should hope British and French Nukes work! They better, they'll get to Russia faster than ours will :P

This wasn't a spur of the moment attack. The Georgians had been preparing to take back the separatist region for a while now. The Russians knew this, and used it as a cause for war.
South Ossetia is made of of mostly citizens with Russian passports. The citizens were holding voting to determine if south Ossetia would return under Russian control. Now this is a problem because..it's like saying: We can have it but you can't. Even when South Ossetia is a part of Georgia.
Shit. All this talk of Nukes is quite the Downer. :(
Shit. All this talk of Nukes is quite the Downer. :(
Aye, definitely not something most people want to see happening. Post-nukes Earth doesn't sound appealing.

That's basically all it is, Talk
It's like
"my daddy can beat up your daddy"
"Yeah well My Daddy takes this many steroids"
They used Georgia as an opportunity to punish Georgia not only for attacking South Ossetia and to freed the two seperatists from their rule but because they're Pro-Western.
I also think this serve as a warning of what could happen if that Anti-Missiles Plan pass.
Again, this is a nice read.

Kuwait prepares for all out war in the Middle-East as US,EU, and other nations train in the Gulf. They were holding an excersize on preforming a blockade, cutting Iran off from needed supplies.
Shit has already hit the fan. :(
I think the main question in a war between Russia and NATO is, who would China join? IF they joined.
China would join Russia. Or so my feeling told me.
No one would be left to name it.
In a simulation where the US fired all its nukes, and russia fired all its nukes resulted in a total of 3000 megatons of nukes being fired. Casuelties in England would be 20 million people, with around 9-4 million people alive.
Nukes don't kill all people, it just destroys everything and wipes out all civilized...

That's how it should be. There ARE russian troops in Georgia, they cut the country in half for fucks sake.

So it destroy everything but peoples are still alive ?

Except if they did they would have nobody to sell stuff to anymore, and their economy kind of depends on selling stuff to other countries.

Why worrying about that when you can re-establish slavery ?
Georgia is now denying they ever invaded south ossetia...

i'd imagine korea would join fucking russia or iran
Does this means world war 3 is about to happen?
Nah, more like a second Cold war, like Beafman said...
If U.S. gets fully involved however, it might just well be a second Cold war, and this time, we might not get so lucky. I mean, time has passed since the 70s....
